TBC: Mana issues + arena advice

Hello everyone,

I’ve played a lot on WotLK, and now I’d like to try TBC together with a friend. He chose Hunter, and I’m trying to find the best class to pair with him in 2v2 Arena.

From what I’ve read, Hunter works mainly with healers, especially Discipline Priest or Restoration Druid. I tried both, but I noticed that my mana runs out in just a few seconds. Is this normal in TBC? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hunter could works fine with a dps too?

Any other advice is welcome!!

I would guess the Hunter is more likely the issue. They can be great as seen in the video, but generally are very difficult to play in arena especially if you're just starting out. Controlling the enemy is key or you're just going to take too much damage and have to dump mana. There's a balanced formula to it.

Hunter can play well with a rogue. It would be an extreme cleave composition though. Pick a target right out of the gate to blast and CC the other. I don't know if you'll be a top rated team that way, but you will win against a good amount of teams.
