Could be that you ran out of the 2GB RAM the game is allowed to use by default. You can attempt to fix that with Large Address Aware or a random 4GB patch for a 32bit client that enables the wow.exe to use more than 2GB RAM.
In general, I've found LAA/4GB patch to provide more stable playing experience. Some random FPS hiccups might be fixed with those as well.
If your device has only 4 GB of RAM, don’t use LAA. It should only be used on systems with more than 4 GB of RAM.
