WotLK Stuck Connecting on login

Hi,

Upon login I am stuck connecting until it times out. I have gone through the troubleshooting posted publicly but it is still not working. Things I have tried so far:

confirmed realmlist.wtf is set realmlist logon.warmane.com
I am using my Warmane account name and not the email

I am able to login successfully to the website but the same credentials do not work on the client.

Any help will be appreciated.

Same here… all my friends are playing :(

One to note as well is I am a brand new player. I registered only a few hours ago. I'm not sure if that factors into anything
