1. Forcing people to play the game in a specific way is one of the key reasons why modern retail wow is less popular than the game was in the past, where people could choose to play the game the way they wanted. That said, no, we do not support harassment. But we're also not here to hold your hand because you're being sensitive over a part of the game that is well-known and established to be how it plays out. Our pvp realms are, naturally, pvp realms, and choosing to play on them also means you consent to the rules of pvp that is involved in the game. Including corpse camping. So you can either get your friends and/or guild together (you know, part of this community-based game that modern multiplayer games fail to capture), choose to find your own way of avoiding the encounters, or play on a realm that doesn't facilitate those same rules of pvp. That is how the game is, how it has always been on here, and always will be. Regardless of what anyone thinks or tries to suggest is some sort of inappropriate behavior.
Exactly. That's why on the official server we have servers with one faction, which kills the essence of the game. Not to mention other aspects.
Never suffered from low-level killing mania. But once upon a time I played on servers where there was complete mutual destruction when meeting with the opposite faction.
There, low-level players regularly died from rogues 10-20 levels higher.
The only way out in this situation was to increase the level and wear better equipment. Then the hunters became prey.

  2. This is such a beaten topic almost as old as wow itself.

Your lucky to even get as many responses as you did.

Camping is not and has never been harassment.

Amazes me these posts still get any steam at all.

  3. For anyone who is struggling with being camped, follow the practical advice jmsvanbuskirk posted on the first page.

Use the Character Unstuck feature on the Warmane website.
    1) My Account > Services
    2) Select the Realm and Name of your character
    3) Select "Points"
    4) Select "Character Unstuck"
    5) Check the box and click the "Unstuck" button
    6) Go to another zone

  4. I have a question: is it considered harassment when players use multiboxing combined with sync tools to crush solo players?

I often see five identical multiboxed characters using synchronization software to simultaneously cast spells and attack players and NPCs from the opposing faction. They rely on third-party assistance to overwhelm others.

Some might argue that Blizzard hasn't officially prohibited the use of multiboxing sync tools for such actions. But isn't Blizzard's lack of action exactly what has led to massive player loss and the decline of server quality?

That's why I believe that if we want to maintain a healthy game environment, there should be clear rules in place. Using multiboxing sync tools for any kind of PvP activity should be strictly forbidden—because at its core, it's cheating.

    No, it isn't.

They did make an official post banning input broadcasting software: https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com...sting-software

Multiboxing is still allowed there, you just can't use the programs normally associated with it. Although the reasoning behind that was never really PvP related. Multiboxing was used as a method for farming resources. You would have a bunch of druids flying around node to node on retail.

I see them farming a lot more on Onyxia. They're mostly harmless PvP wise. You will see them doing dailies on Isle of Quel Danas frequently and they don't bother people. Only complaint I've had there is when they were camping resources on Elemental Plataeu. They are used more for PvP on Icecrown, but most of them are really bad and a waste of space especially in battlegrounds.
