Why is 3v3 rated solo que is so unpopular?

I really like to play arena solo, i just usually don't like to deal with peoples egos, rage, complaining or anything like that in arranged 2v2 or 3v3. So solo 2v2 skirmish, or ranked 3v3 rated is perfect for me. However both of these formats have a huge problem. Ranked 3v3 is fun when it works, but ques are 5+ minutes , even when i try to que in peak hours on weekends. Meanwhile skirmish 2v2 has a big leaver problem, that is somebody just leaves the game before it starts, and since its unranked, matches sometimes are too one sided and non competitive because of gear and skill difference.
So as a solo arena enjoyer, i am a bit frustrated and im wondering do people really not enjoy arena at all, as a solo player? Even when there are 20k players online, there are almost nobody who is joining ranked 3v3 solo, and i just simply don't understand the reason why. It seems fun to me. Is the entire point of this game, to kill NPC's in raids for 20 years doing dps rotations while moving away from fire, is that's the entire fun of this game for 99% of the people?
Are restrictions of having a healer and 2 dps too harsh? I would much rather play many janky games with 3 dps, as long as i can actually play the game, instead of having infinite unplayable que time.

I suggest you just enjoy WPVP, BGs, and whatever arenas you can do like 2v2s are you suggested.
