1. How are you preparing for WOTLK release?

What are you buying up? What are you stockpiling? How are you getting your characters ready for WOTLK? Are you stockpiling gold? If so, how much?

  2. Well.

I have created a new character which is paladin because lets be honest, protection warrior got badly nerfed in wotlk. So i switched to paladin to tank stuff as i like Wotlk paladin.
I gave my paladin dual spec so he can have holy OS. And of course maxxed his Professions to max, including cooking and fishing and riding. I have BS and JC on him because these profession gices neat bonuses on wotlk that are quite universal.

Of course now i am just doing random stuff getting some gear, even if he would be fine with blues/greens from quests, i just want to make wotlk leveling un dungeons easier.
Of course i am also stockpiling gold that can be used for example to kickstart my JC leveling by buying cobalt/saronite ores to prospect and get gems.

  3. Tis a Strange Duality, Warriors for Prot got Nerfed for PvE, but for PvP it is absolutely insane. But Paladins for Tank are Kings of PvE Tanking Bar None.

The main reason for that is fact how they changed tanking in wotlk compared to TBC. Including warriors.
Warrior got massive boost to his base damage (Which also means his threat generation) but in the other hand they crippled his survivability especially rework of his "Shield block ability" from ability that allowed you to keep full avoidance by massive block chance boost when regularly refreshed into a quite silly "Cooldown" ability that was insane aganist normal mobs, some trash in dungeons and even melee dps players but made it weak against something that hits harder like raid bosses, even critical block doesn't make this up.

But of course warrior got his base damage boosted especially his revenge with talent that hits like a truck without any damage items. And of course we have shield slam that with new "Shield block" also hits way harder.
So at the end we got something that is bad for PVE because of survivability nerf but strong at PVP because of quite insane base damage (because PVP items dont give that much damage as dedicated melee dps pve items)
