1. No, the reason we are "receiving a lot of backlash" is that the few of people who had been trying to smoother any players wanting a later release (and I don't mean just in this thread) got their guilds and alts to come add numbers.

I dont think is that really an issue. Just to be honest, most of people willl have a lot of time for wotlk grinding during holiday break and then when holiday break ends they would be fine having less time to play during work days because most of them will just run raids once per week each raid like 30 minutes- 2 hours.

Previous releasse date was not perfect but still okay because people would be already after spending christmass with families, but many of them took days off between christmass and new year. You could postpone only release of naxx, not wotlk. But you decided to postpone entire wotlk release after all holiday break thats why you got backlash.

  2. Not happy about the delayed release (not from their guild or alt)

  3. As others you keep looking at this from your own perspective. Just because your holiday is not filled with activities and you rely to use it on playing game, doesn't mean it's the case for everyone.
And btw this information to you has just been given and suddenly it's do or die. Play wrath release 27-3 or no other option is good.
What if information about release was posted and set in stone long time ago, let's say 20th January? Would you still play here? Yes you would.
So please, focus your energy on something useful and don't flood the post with same story over and over. We got it - you are unsatisfied with release. Move on.

  4. First we must fight bad changes, then if warmane team finally stops ignoring majority of normal people who have jobs and change wotlk release date back when it didnt bypassed holiday break, then we can talk about other stuff.[/QUOTE]

I made mistake with not responding directly to you here but ye, post above is @you.

  5. is there going to be a blackrock pvp server launched, that follows the same progress as onixya wotlk?

  6. Answer to some questions made. It will be added to the first post:

    - What will happen to Blackrock TBC realm?
It will be merged with Blackrock WotLK like it was when Frostmourne was around. Players can choose a battlegroup on character creation (permanent Season 8 or progression).

    - Will honor be wiped out on pre-patch just like TBC?
Honor will be wiped on pre-patch launch.

    - Will Death Knights have a realm first 70?
    No.

    - Will x5 be applied in pre-patch to power level through level 1-70?
The 60-70 leveling range will go to x5 and 70-80 will be x3, like we did when TBC launched (1-60 x5, 60-70 x3).

    - Will you consider not nerfing content?
We are using WotLK retail values, Onyxia caters to casuals.

    - Inscription will be launching at pre-patch?
    Probably.

    - S4 gear for honor: If/when will this happen?
No, Season 4 prices will remain active until Season 5 starts.

    - When does dual talent price increase?
    At pre-patch.

    - When Arena points reset?
They will reset on character level up and will remain to do so.

    This ^^^

It's understandable that everybody will root for what benefits them the most. People who go out on holidays don't want to miss the launch, and people who asked for time off work during holidays want to spend it playing wotlk. The mistake is thinking everybody's in your situation or that your situation applies to "most" people when that's not the case. It's Warmane's job to try analyze which dates are best for the community.

I don't think most people leave their city for holidays and would miss the entire launch, at most they will miss the days that they have to spend with their families. But also I don't think most people have a "holidays break" from work (I don't for example), as @OOFMAN says. I don't know what is your job but most jobs don't do that holidays break.

Again, stop thinking everybody's in your situation or that your situation applies to "most" people when that's not the case. Let Warmane make the decission and stop bringing drama to this thread.

  8. - Will you consider not nerfing content?

Thank you for clarifying this key issue. Is Wotlk retail values =/ Wotlk Classic values? If I recall correctly hp was buffed 30% for classic wotlk? Ty

  9. @Palutena
Thank you for giving us some fresh info, appreciate it.

"- Will you consider not nerfing content?

Do you refer Wotlk retail values to Wotlk classic right?

    @dafed654
Wotlk Classic did not have buffed bosses. Frostmourne here on Warmane did every season +30% in HP

    - Will you consider not nerfing content?

And yet you please the 1% and postpone wotlk launch dates, instead to keep first ones which are perfect for casuals.

  11. Says you. It is curious how most of you were silent with the dates even after the initial complaints. None of you came to argue. Then all of a sudden after we decide to lend ears to the complaints, you all come out of thin air to say the world has ruined with that change. Next time be more participative, if you care this much.

  12. Answer to some questions made. It will be added to the first post:

    - Inscription will be launching at pre-patch?
    Probably.

Wrath (2008) and Wrath Classic (2022) both had Inscription available at prepatch. This allowed new Inscripters to level to 375 during prepatch to be on par with all the other professions. I cannot think of any good reason to change this.

Do we do get 2 major/minor glyph slots at prepatch, or is that going to be changed as well?

  13. Those people who complain now are just trolls that do it for fun. No matter the date you guys settle they will be nagging. I think the current date is perfect for everyone both casual and hardcore.
But one thing bother me by saying retail values do you mean classic wotlk values or icecrown?

You literally cannot count how many times people in this thread have asked you to run a poll with dates so that you would have a better understanding of your customer needs. Literally to run data-driven decisions that are supported by data. Instead, you make decisions based on your gut feelings

*well, i guess we going into wotlk with blue and green items
