No. Creating a backup is something that the server does. Nothing you can do, at least from the side of your browser, will help. Maybe if you delete all your characters the backup will work, but that may be going a bit too far in this case.

Ive been downloading the backup every week for close to 3 years now and i've never had any issues.
Just refresh it after a few minutes if it gets "stuck" on 99% or any other number and it will be ready for download.

Players want to use the backup feature for a reason. They don't want all their hard work after years of progressing on their accounts gone to waste again. Likelihood of it happening again is small and never a zero, but having a relatively fresh backup is always good to have on hand. Players who didn't do/have one when it's actually needed would be told "should've done that backup that we offered for everybody."

Maybe I wasn't clear and explicit enough, somehow, when I simply put in question the sudden urgency for a backup when an issue started happening just a few days ago (and seems to be specific to a few people, which probably makes it more difficult to figure out what is causing it). And it turns out he had been neglecting making any recent backup.

thanks, but i know about the refreshing method, i refreshed about 20 times during the build up to 99%, and tons more refreshing after it hit 99%, and i just checked again and its still stuck at 99% after refreshing a couple times lol

hey!, yeah i just logged in maybe 10 minutes ago, and still stuck at 99% after refreshing a couple times, i also have been trying to make a backup for a couple months, thought maybe it was something I'm doing, but i don't think that's the case, wasn't ever a urgency, i was reaching out to see if anyone had the same problem and or possibly a fix for it, is there anyway you can get this investigated further?

I already forwarded this to the rest of the Staff like a week ago, even had a GM confirm the same happened to him. That's about what I can do for investigating, I don't have access to the web server.
