1. I’m Going to Kill and Camp Every Lowbie Horde and Horde NPC I See.

As the title says, that’s the conclusion I’ve reached, and here’s why.

I only play Twinks—60, 70, 19. Those are the levels I enjoy. I always mind my own business without bothering anyone, regardless of faction. I’ve always considered myself a decent player: friendly, patient, and respectful toward lowbies… but Warmane players have managed to ruin that good attitude.

I KNOW THIS IS A PVP SERVER!!! And like everyone else, I’ve had chances to camp and kill lowbies. I NEVER DID IT, because I know they’re people progressing through the game, and frustrating them or camping them is the best way to make sure fewer new players stick around.

After months and months playing on this server with my Twinks—who are obviously “lowbies” themselves—I’ve decided that from now on the Horde can go to hell. I’m going to kill lowbies, camp them, kill their NPCs, and annoy them until they smash their keyboards with their foreheads. And I’ll enjoy it. Below I’ll explain why the people on this server managed to turn someone who just played quietly without bothering anyone into one more server bully.

Here are just SOME examples of things that made me change my mind (in some cases it was obvious what would happen, but as a level 19, 60, or 70—even geared—you have zero chance against an 80 bully):

    – I was doing an escort quest (almost 15 minutes long) and suddenly an 80 Horde paladin appears, waves, and walks behind me the entire way. When I finally reach the destination after almost 15 minutes, he kills me. Obviously I have to start from zero. I start again, walk back… BAM! The Horde shows up again, laughs, waves, and slowly starts following me once more. We all know how it ends. Log off, switch character, or wait—even if you actually feel like playing. A solid 100% frustration. I log in 30 minutes later and he’s STILL THERE waiting for me, not even /away. Incredible.

    – I’m on my 19, find a Horde 19. Lucky me! A Twink! He’s geared. Fair fight, I’m happy. We duel like gentlemen with /duel. I win both duels. The Horde disappears. I continue questing. He reappears… but something is different. Same class, same race, almost the same name—but no, this one ends with a different letter. Obviously it’s my duel-buddy… but this character is level 80. He kills me and camps me endlessly at corpse and graveyard. I have to log off because it’s impossible to finish a single quest. Nice one, Horde.

    – I’m on my 70. I see a Horde dying to two bears. I approach, DON’T TOUCH HIM, kill the bears, wave, he keeps killing bears. I kill more to help him out. A Horde 80 warrior spawns, watches for a while as I—Alliance—don’t kill the Horde and simply help him farm the bears. Suddenly they talk between themselves, then CHARGE from the 80 warrior straight into me. I die, and get two /bye emotes from both Hordes.

    – Quest chain on my pride and joy, my beautiful level 60 paladin. I reach the FINAL BOSS of the chain, the hideous monster that will give me an item I’ll never use. I’m about to /taunt… but hey! A wild level 80 rogue appears, kills the boss, /hi /bye /cry, disappears. I think: okay, maybe he just wanted to troll once. I wait the full 20‑minute respawn. I know he’s hiding. Boss respawns. This time the rogue stuns me, kills the boss, then kills me. More /cry, more /bye. I know I can’t do anything. I have to log off and leave it for another day, because the rogue is still there waiting.

    – I’m doing quests. I know there’s a Horde shaman around; I’ve seen him, he’s seen me, he seems to let me play. I finish the quests, get the items, go to turn them in. The shaman follows me silently, no emotes, nothing. When I get close to the quest givers, he mounts up (I’m on foot), rides ahead, kills all the NPCs so I can’t turn in the quests, and gives me a /bye… This repeated two more times.

I picked these five examples out of many because they perfectly show what a lot of people on this server are made of, and how far some will go just to stop others from progressing.

Many people say “it’s a PvP server.” Sure, obviously. But do these situations feel like FAIR PvP? Or even regular PvP? Or is it just people enjoying ruining someone else’s day? I’ll leave that there…

FINAL WORDS: Instead of crying about it, I spent a ton of money on donations, leveled a character to 80, geared it, and now I’m dedicated to killing every lowbie and NPC that moves. If someday I kill you as Horde, troll you endlessly, or camp you… hey! It’s a PvP server!

    /Hi /cry /Bye (Damn emotes)

EDIT: This post is not meant to be an incitement to hate. As my grandfather used to say: *It doesn’t matter where you come from or where you’re going, there are *****s everywhere.*

  2. Not trying to dissuade you in the least, it's a PvP server after all, but have you considered at least one of those might have had Alliance players do the same to them and felt the same way you did? I personally despise the Horde, what it stands for, how all races aside the elves look like Scooby-Doo villains after a bath in the pigsty, and so on, but the Alliance does the exact same bull****.

  3. From what I've been told from others while in rdf's, alliance is worse than horde is on Ice Crown when it comes to camping, npc killing, disrupting, etc.

  4. Nah, each side will say the other is worse because they had a bad experience without looking at what their own faction does.

  5. Thanks for the replies. I really have NOTHING against the Horde, but I’ve always played Alliance. I’m going to edit the main post a bit because it looks like I’m inciting hatred toward the Horde, and I’m sure there are wonderful people playing on that side as well. And yes, I’m sticking to the main plan.

  6. Sounds like a great villain arc. The kind and peaceful alliance helping out little hordes turned ruthless killer slaying them in the night. Sleep with one eye open Horde!

  7. I play both sides, and experienced the same thing on both sides. It's just "normal" on a PvP server.

I know it's not fair, but all we can get is suck it up and move on.

Also, get the "kill on sight" addon and mark those players that lowlvl ganked you. So much fun to run back into them and just destroy them.

Well, what else would you expect, that is, getting camped and forced to logg off when you admit, you play mostly twinks ? AHAH
Twinks, my friend, are known suckers. they only play to grief people. you know hellfire ? borean thundra ? rings a bell ?
Good one. by the way, i am horde. if i see a twink, regardless of what is he doing, i will kill him. but i don't do emote like your pals. nah. not my style.
i will just kill you and sit on your corpse until either you log off or i find something more interesting to do.

    With love,

    Your friendly neighborhorde.

In my honest opinion you are a fool. Not because you were bullied by these guys but because your way of "Revenge". Basically all you do is just doing the same to innocent players that didn't do anything wrong to you while all these bullies wont be affected at all.

If you want to payback, become a vigilante, become a punisher, donwload "Kill on sight" addon so you can write name of every bully you met. You can also ask other people about bullies that bullied them. Then you hunt them and only them, find them, kill them, camp them keep doing your vigilante quest, you will become something greater once your nickname will be enough to make gankers learn to play this game instead of camping lov lvls.

Dont be a villain you despise, become a hero you needed in past.

  10. This isn't Batman, no-one cares.

  11. am i the only one who doesnt get salty when they get ganked, i just shrug and move on. i do think the lowbie killers are low-lifes though, and i kill them (80's and twinks alike) all the time it's quite satisfying. But I don't bother killing lows, there's no satisfaction.

Sometimes i'll stun a lowbie and charge up an exorcism then turn 180 at the last second so it fizzles because it is funny to scare them but that's it.

You're still a bully even if you don't kill them.

  13. I've done 'testing' while making videos. I got killed 97 times by alliance while leveling. I got killed twice, that's 2 times, by horde. Just to add more to your fire <3

  14. There's a reason that's called "anecdotal evidence."

  15. 97 times is a lot. Do you know this video?

I've always wanted to see a video like this, but about ganking or getting ganked in levelling zones. This would be a killing blow or a death as a lowbie for every beat of that song. If you have the footage, skill, and time to edit it...
