Best way to farm for gold

I'm just wondering what are some good ways to do this, on Icecrown and Lordaeron. I was doing some Thorium farming for early gold on Onyxia so I could get my alts at least Outlands flying, was wondering if Thorium was still a valid farm on Lordaeron and Icecrown, or if they had other ways of grinding some early gold. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

you can make 300 gold an hour on farming mobs in northern zul drak that you can also skin. leather + grey drops + random green drops. That is the least effort, mindless farming. You could also look in AH and see what the big money items are and made those.

The best way is to donate for a pretty high amount of coins, 100+.
Then with those coins you buy gold for the right coin price (ideally 14c) on the Trade section on this website. If you do it right and during the right time of the year/months you are basically buying botted gold before those accounts gets banned.
With that gold you now have you can sell it back to the community but for a more reasonable price (the buyer has to use more of their coins to get your new gold) at the lower categories of that Trade Market (9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2 coins per amount of XXX gold).
So now in the end you get back your 100+ coins plus some extra coins because on average you sold back the gold for a higher coin price.
WIth those extra coins you build up over time you can either buy gold and have the gold for what it is or keep stacking more coins and do this process forever.

You could also, a few times a week, join Fade discord and help with out LOD boost runs if you have the characters + gear + XP for it.
In those few hours you spend doing a boost you get reasonable amounts of gold for your work.
Easy for me to say with 20+ years of WoW exp and 7 bis MS/OS characters on Icecrown Horde.

Also you can be a raid leader yourself and sell SFS or Boosts in general and that will be alot of gold too.
I do think the few people who organize the LOD boosts on Horde side of Icecrown (mainly Fade leaders) are cashing in the most amount of gold per hour out of anyone, even the bots.
God knows what they do with it :)
