Realistic suggestions to make the honor farming on Blackrock more tolerable without disincentivizing cash shop or making Onyxia players cry too hard or even worse incentivizing unhealthy gameplay like creating new characters to repeat the 3v3 daily quest with the alt account join+leave strategy (pseudo-wintrading)

    -Add repeatable quest (not daily, repeatable) for 5 - 10 battleground wins for some extra honor, worth maybe the same amount as the first daily battleground win (around 3700 or whatever the number is - OR 5000 to match the other quests - OR if that's still too much then 2500) this will actually encourage and reward players for grinding BGs rather than abuse the system with alts

  4. Do you think it's normal that Onyxia players already have about 1k resi at the moment, when Blackrock players have 400-500? They are simply impossible to win. The server administration is shouting about some kind of injustice towards Onyxia players, but in fact it's the opposite. There is no desire to play on Blackrock. And yes, the Lootbox system sucks.

  5. Just rise the honor gain on blackrock a little bit, make the blue pvp set available for honor and everyone will be happy.

    I got some suggestion:

    - daily quest for bg (ex. maybe 5k for every single map you win for first time, or 5 bg won has 10k honor)
    - the return system for the lootbox (maybe half hour spent)
    - definitely the savage system

    btw a lot of person are already leaving their seasonal character. If you won't change something, seasonal Blackrock will be a desert.

  7. People are crying about that they are forced to play BGs whilst actually just wanting to play arenas. I mean you can get 25k honor every day by just playing arenas?! That's something Onyxia doesn't get, so what exactly is your point? Yes, Onyxia players actually have a gear advantage since they were able to farm honor etc. on the prepatch, but Blackrock will catch up easily with the double amount of arena points. You guys are just too entitled wanting to get thrown everything in your throats. WoW has always been a game which required some grind, you just got too used to being able to buy everything with coins.

    ... in case you are just incompetent about this topic:
    - farming arenas for those honor quests are not worth the time, you farm better honor / hour in BGs, which is superlow comparing to item prices. 150-200 hours BG farm is realistic to get the basic PvP gear.
    - Onyxia has gear advantage because of WGs+honor quests, not because of prepatch.
    - double arena points would be nice if we would not lose every game against Onyxia players since they are in full PvP gear while we run around in crappy blues :-D so we stuck on lower rating because we are getting smashed :)
    Even if you exchange arena points to honor, the ratio is 100 ap --> 2000 honor, so you go nowhere with this option aswell.

    The thing is, if you play on Blackrock you are punished hard.

  9. Just realised we have some kind of super matchmaking system in BGs that puts together the Blackrock players against Onyxia players, somehow like this:

    Average BG, one team 80% Blackrock players, other team 80% Onyxia players.
    So you can enjoy lose streaks up to 8 games like I had yesterday :-)

  10. ^The reason why battlegrounds look like this is because 90% of Blackrock players are Alliance and the majority of them turn off mercenary mode. This is why Horde loses battlegrounds so often. Alliance turn off mercenary mode because they don't want to lose battlegrounds and so the effect compounds itself.

    It's not only the difference in resilience, there is a massive difference in gameplay efficiency between the two playerbases right now, one having access to the set bonuses the come with the gladiator PvP sets in WotLK. Just look at these bonuses that are currently unavailable to literally everyone on Blackrock until at least week 3 when enough arena points have been farmed to purchase 4 hateful gladiator items which by the way is a complete WASTE of arena points since they require the same amount of arena rating to purchase as deadly items.

    This is what Onyxia players have exclusive access to right now and is the main reason why it's so unfair to face these players in Arenas.

    ALL SPELL POWER USERS

    (4) Set: Increases spell power by 88.

    Warrior
    (4) Set: Reduces the cooldown of your Intercept ability by 5 sec.

    Warlock
    (4) Set: Reduces the casting time of your Fear spell by 0.2 sec. <-This is worth 13% haste. The value of this is literally almost 450 spell haste rating.

    Enhancement Shaman
    (4) Set: Reduces the cooldown of your Stormstrike ability by 2 sec. (Absolutely massive, 2 second reduction in an arena match that lasts ONE minute gives the Onyxia Shaman three more Stormstrikes compared to the Blackrock Shaman, if you play Enhancement you understand how big of a difference this makes considering Stormstrike not only procs weapon enhancements but also is the only way to get mana back when forced to use Shamanistic Rage for damage reduction)

    Elemental/Resto Shaman
    (4) Set: Reduces the cooldown of your Grounding Totem ability by 1.5 sec.

    Rogue
    (4) Set: Increases your maximum Energy by 10.

    Priest
    (4) Set: Reduces the duration of the Weakened Soul effect caused by your Power Word: Shield by 2 sec. (This is actually one of the most crazy impactful of all set bonuses)

    DPS Paladin
    (4) Set: Reduces the cooldown of your Judgements by 1 sec.

    Holy Paladin
    (4) Set: Increases the healing of your Holy Shock spell by 10%.

    Mage
    (4) Set: Reduces the casting time of your Polymorph spell by 0.15 sec.

    Hunter
    (4) Set: Reduces the cooldown of your Traps by 2 seconds.

    Restoration Druid
    (4) Set: Reduces the cooldown of your Swiftmend ability by 2 sec. (This is a massive difference just like Discipline Priest)

    Feral Druid
    (4) Set: Increases your movement speed by 15% while in Bear Form, Cat Form, or Travel Form. Only active outdoors. (I don't need to say anything about this for people to understand how big this is for feral druids when it comes to moving around pillars in arena)

    Balance Druid
    (4) Set: Your Wrath casts have a chance to reduce the cast time on your next Starfire by 1.5 sec. (Insane bonus, this proc is worth literally almost 1500 haste rating value on that Starfire cast)

    Death Knight
    (4) Set: Whenever you are struck by a movement-impairing effect you will generate 15 runic power over 5 sec.

    And this is not even mentioning the bonuses on gloves which Blackrock players can't get either without 1600 rating and arena points. Again, Blackrock players forced to waste arena points on Hateful gloves when Onyxia players have Savage Gladiator gloves which in terms of honor points is the cheapest item out of the entire set.

    Equip: Reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attacks while casting Fear by 50%. (Very significant, again, taking double pushback on fear is equal to losing several hundred haste rating on that cast)

    Shaman
    Equip: Improves the range of your Shock and Wind Shear spells by 5 yards. (One of the most impactful among all bonuses, you almost can't play the game properly against casters without this, at a high rating it's an automatic loss against DPS Healer compositions playing without this bonus)

    Rogue
    Equip: Reduces the Energy cost of your Kick by 10. (Very significant)

    Priest
    Equip: Reduces the cooldown of your Psychic Scream ability by 3 sec. (ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE in a game and arena season where Priest is arguably THE MOST focused class in the game)

    DPS Paladin
    Equip: Increases the damage dealt by your Crusader Strike ability by 5%. (Insignificant, nobody plays Retribution anyway)

    Holy Paladin
    Equip: Increases the critical effect chance of your Flash of Light by 2%. (Worth 92 critical strike rating in value)

    Mage
    Equip: Reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attacks while casting Polymorph by 50%. (Same comment here as for Warlock)

    Hunter
    Equip: Reduces the cooldown of your Tranquilizing Shot by 2 seconds.

    Feral Druid
    Equip: Reduces the energy cost of your Maim by 15. (Very significant, even more so than the Rogue bonus)

    Balance/Restoration Druid
    Equip: Reduces the cast time of your Cyclone spell by 0.1 sec.

    Death Knight
    Equip: Your Chains of Ice ability now generates an additional 5 runic power. (MASSIVELY impactful for being able to Chains of Ice->Anti-Magic Shell)

    This is not the only problem on Blackrock right now, there are also several items missing that Onyxia have had access to since 10th of January.

  13. I play on Blackrock mainly because of time constraints.
    Due to work pressure and time management, I simply don’t have the capacity to plan raids, level characters, or commit to scheduled PvE content. Blackrock exists exactly for players like this — people who want to log in and play PvP when they have time.

    Yesterday, I spent almost a full day farming honor — from 1 PM to 1 AM.
    I got over 1200 honorable kills and ended up with around 91,000 honor. That is 12 hours of nonstop BGs for barely enough honor to buy 1–2 off-pieces.

    The main issue is that PvP item prices are identical to leveling servers, while honor gain on Blackrock is significantly lower. This creates a situation where PvP gear takes longer to obtain on a server that is supposed to be PvP-focused and time-efficient.

    I understand and fully respect that Onyxia players have their own challenges — organizing raids, schedules, guild commitments, and so on. That is completely fair.
    I also understand restrictions on PvE items like chests, to prevent Blackrock players from progressing faster in PvE than leveling realms.


    However, PvP gear is a different matter.
    Blackrock players already trade PvE progression for PvP-only gameplay. There simply isn’t the time capacity on this realm to justify such a long PvP grind with the current honor rates.

    I’m not asking for honor gains equal to leveling servers.
    A reduction is reasonable. But the current gain — around 3k honor per BG win — feels excessively low for the purpose Blackrock servers.

    I would on the other hand suggest to remove pvp quests on Blackrock on S5 and normalise honor gain from BGs, because some ppl just create 2 accs and realise spam 3s que is far more efficient. Or return mark quests beign given for BGs and turn them, if Onyxia have WG, we on blackrock might have something else, which cant be abused.

Like the OP said playing on BlackRock seasonal has a insane disadvantage over onyxia there is no point to argue, if in BlackRock the people play more PvP and they have more exp there is not much that can be done to balance that other than put perma mercenary on BlackRock, now the item vendors should go back to what it was the last seasonal and let us buy especific items, gearing in onixia is to easy, and last time when s5 happened the top team was prot pala resto Shaman from the pve realm. If u work or don't have all day to play for the time u get bis on BR S8 hits ,like come on.

    -Let us buy especific items
    - make mercenary permanent if that help the crys
    -Reduce prices

    I'm in full agreement with making mercenary mode obligatory. The best and most balanced RBG experiences I've had so far have been almost entirely thanks to mercenary mode balancing the teams. Everyone knows that 90% of Blackrock players are alliance for (what they think are) superior racials(human and night elf exclusively). Everyone knows that Blackrock players are more PvP-oriented, experienced and motivated (duh). Make RBGs more balanced and fun by having mercenary mode(at least for Blackrock) be an obligatory feature.
