Yo, after lvling up sham on Lordaeron to 60+ only via dungeons i decided to roll Feral Tank. But after 60+ lvls via dungeon i seen not a single feral tank.
Any ideas why so unpopular? I understand its not best tank but.. 😀
Curious if i should roll it or is it really that bad/bugged? Aiming for HCs on 80, not much interest in raids considering i dont have much time to play.
There are many variations that could be the reason. Druid isn't that played class, and even fewer of them are tanks. With that combination the odds of you running to a druid tank near your own level are extremely slim.
Feral tanks are fewer than other tanks due to the fact that,... End game raids usually go with Ppal and Bdk. Also the reason why that comp is pref over any other tank comp is that Ppals and Bdks provide more raid utility than Pwar and Fdruid (bear).
But do not believe that any tank is bad. All tanks are good. They are just different. To be completely honest all tanks have their strengths and weaknesses. Druid tanks are actually better than plate tanks in some aspects but only the very experienced players will be able to make that shine. The thing with druid tanks is they can be play offensively or defensively without suffering from Def cap issues. Everyone generally believes that tanks gem all STAM. This is not wrong or right. It's personal pref. Remember you can have as many gear sets as you can acquire. Lets say you have 2 tank sets and you gem 1 with STAM and the other with ARPEN to achieve 100% ARMPEN. Remember tanking is kind of like a dance. You have to dress accordingly to the dance to perform optimally. Having maximum ehp for an encounter that doesn't require it is a complete waste of stats. You may want to use your other set that has 100% ARMPEN. You WILL perform better with this set. The only thing is you will not have massive ehp. But then again, you do not need massive ehp to tank every encounter. It's nice to have but not required. Hope this helps.
