They should leave the rings; at this point, they don't even know how to remove all the necklaces. Some sold them and recovered them so they wouldn't be affected when they delete them all, others are keeping them in their bank, so they will never manage to remove all the necklaces won from the event. You can see in "DARALAN" all the necklaces that are not being removed for everyone, only some.

Necklaces are deleted on relog, the mechanism is the same as for other exploited items - you can't hid it in the bank or anywhere else, so it will be gone after a server restart.
It is more harmful than letting people have a neck that is on a 10 man EOE key level of stats, but I understand the decision.

In that case, since we follow the experience of vanilla so closely, can we have the mount and other stuff being added to boss drop table, instead of a bag, as it was before 3.3.3? Would be weird to have one thing and not the other.

I just find this unfair, these necks are not game braking or anything like it. Now I don't have any neck piece and to be fair I don't think anyone had any clue that these were not supposed to drop. I wish I could at least recover my old neck, because that gold coin feels like a mockery.

Imagine warmane staff would be sorry for their own mistake at least once instead of hiding it by simply deleting option to transfer honour from s5 blackrock or in this case neck from event or 226 axe for anyone who bought it for coins at s5 blackrock with zero compensation provided xdxdxdxdxd

Fun fact btw , event boss is still do the same damage and have the same hp amount that it has at Icecrown realm , except now it drops not 226 neck but 200 , wish a good luck to any healer who really needs this garbage necklace to overheal it

And fun fact #2 , at Icecrown realm for some reason there is no scaling for this event to the actual gear ilvl , for some reason they do not drop 251 neck's from icc 10

That's what makes this situation so egregiously bad. It has happened multiple times before and Warmane devs, in full knowledge of what has happened before, create a scenario where their players vendor/DE/destroy their own gear and are left with nothing when the dust settles.

Yep. New to WotlK. How was I supposed to know those necks didn't belong in this phase? Sold my old neck. Now I have nothing.
