How Transmog actually works on Warmane?

Could you help me explaining the Transmog system on Warmane, preferably Lordaeron? I search the net around finding that you need an Item Scrolls from ICC.

You get a Scroll of Deception as a random drop from level 80 raid boss.

You use the scroll on an item that you want to copy the look of.
It produces and item called "Essence of X", the X being the item you copied the look of.
You use the essence on an item you want the look to be applied to.

Restrictions are: Must be able to equip the item. The item must be of same armor type.
Weapons can are bit more free:
1H Axe - 1H Mace - 1H Sword
2H Axe - 2H Mace - 2H Sword
Polearm - Staff
Bow - Crossbow - Gun

Daggers, Fist Weapons, Wands, and Shields can't be transmogrified into other types.

No. Scroll of Deception is consumed with each use.

Question, if I'm a druid can I transmog the Priest T7 hands onto Gunship Captain's Mittens? I can theoretically get the hands from VOA if they drop but will it work to create the essence?

You still can't wear them, so you can't mog it.
