1. Multiboxing in Wintergrasp – does this even make sense anymore?

I’ve been playing Horde on Lordaeron for a while and honestly, Wintergrasp lately just feels off.

Yeah, it says 120 vs 120, but that number doesn’t really mean much when part of Alliance is running multibox setups. You’ve got a few players controlling 5 characters each, often the same class, all casting at the exact same time. So instead of actual players vs players, it turns into stacked clones with perfect sync.

On Horde side, almost nobody does this. So every fight ends up feeling one-sided:

you push in thinking it’s a normal fight
suddenly you eat 5x the same spell at once
objectives get rolled because they move as one unit
and after it’s over, some of them even log Horde alts just to talk trash in global

I’m not even trying to rant here, it’s just getting tiring. It doesn’t feel like PvP anymore, more like playing against a mechanic.

I saw the recent devlog about Wintergrasp Queue Priority (Feb 12, 2026), where multiboxers are supposed to get deprioritized so they don’t take multiple slots when the queue is full.

But honestly? This feels completely pointless.

The problem isn’t just getting INTO Wintergrasp — the problem is what happens INSIDE it. Even if fewer multibox characters get in, it only takes a few players running full setups to completely swing fights. The impact is still the same.

Right now this change feels like it doesn’t actually solve anything meaningful. It just looks good on paper, but in practice it’s still the same situation.

So I’m curious what others think:

Has anyone actually noticed a difference after this change?
Do you think this solution is enough?
Should multiboxing be further limited in large-scale PvP like Wintergrasp?
And is there any proper way to report this if it crosses the line (especially potential input broadcasting)?

Because at the moment, the whole “priority change” feels pretty much worthless.

  2. I play during North American evening (10pm to 4am server time) and I hate Wintergrasp for the reason you mentioned except opposite faction. WG is full of Horde MBs, 5x priests, 5x BM hunters, SO many groups of 5x DKs and 5x Moonkins.
I just read a fix has been applied that there will be "Multiboxers deprioritization" in the WG queue.
    The Dev log reads,

    "Wintergrasp Priority
    February 12, 2026

Today we have made a change to the Wintergrasp Queue Priority. Simply put, multiboxers were taking too much of the available 120 spots.

When the queue is full, multiboxers will no longer be able to take up multiple queue spots. Secondary characters will be deprioritized.

This change was made to ensure everyone has a fair chance to join the battles."

  3. Yeah and multiboxing with the perfect sync spells is cheating as they're using external programs to queue those spells, no multiboxer is actually clicking into different game windows and manually pressing buttons on each which would be the only actually "legit" way to actually multibox.
However, unfortunately, warmane administration has been quite clear over the years that they will neither ban multiboxers from BG/WG nor address the rampant mboxer external program macro cheating, so the only thing you can really do as a player is stop playing BG/WG altogether.

And of course if you wanted to give multiboxers still chance to play, they could have their own blackrock style realm and queues where they could play against other multiboxers, which would make it fair. But I guarantee all the multiboxers would immediately start crying about such change because they don't actually want fair. They want to cheat 5v1 because they think its fun like someone aimbotting in counter-strike. And they want to play against legit players, not on hack-vs-hack servers because if they don't have unfair advantage, a level playing field is something such people don't like. I do wonder why warmane administration wants to entertain such people but that is the situation and has been for the decade this realm has been up.

  4. Doesnt make sense like it doesn't make sense that Lordaeron is PVP realm. Why?

All are the pvp why is Lordaeron PVP? I wanna quest alone Especially in STV...

  5. The change about wg with multyboxers is well seen on icecrown and onyxia but lordaeron has a problem since around 70% of wgs are not full. Thats the reasson people can still get 5x mboxing characters in to wg.
