I wanted to communicate this to the forums because its reached insane levels at this point.
There are soooo many guilds in Onyxia ( at least in horde side ) looking for people that all channels keep getting ultra spammed all day long. I have resorted ( regrettably ) to measures like ignoring every single person that posts a guild recruitment just to filter out the spam when im trying to find a pug to cover my raid lock on my alts or just reply a newbies question about something.
At this point at onyxia it feels like everyone wants to have a guild of his own lol. And the situation keeps getting worse, the more new guilds the more vacancies, the more vacancies the more spam etc etc.
Have you tried i don't know, talk to each other? Proceed with some merges or just raid cooperation filler so you can spam us less? Besides most of the pugs clear the content at this point so what people are doing makes no sense. If you wanna do HM's a good pug can perform very nicely or get some gear up and go join something that does HM's.
Warmane can we have a global channel just for recruitment so all other channels remain clean for people to use? Thanks

There is a recruitment channel. Just never gets used. I agree it is quite annoying. What's worse is they make the messages three lines long and spam it on cooldown for sometimes hours. Some players use addons/bots and just do it all day.
Other contributors to the spam are the same couple GDKP groups. Groups that are basically exclusive now anyway. Then you have the sad streamers spamming their links their entire raid time and getting a whole 5 viewers. And of course the one guy that spams LFG when there are no raids to even join like someone is just gonna whisper him magically lol.
Anyway that sort of thing has always plagued this game. I don't see any way of moderating such things without having someone sit there around the clock watching every chat window which isn't going to happen.

You really said everything right there. Yea it has always plagued the game true, the streamers is a new ( annoying ) breed though we didn't have them back when Sargeras started for example ( note : I ignore them too to keep the chat clear... wtb bigger ignore list ).
I understand a possible solution might be tricky, but when something becomes problematic to the point of unplayable maybe its time for a bit of brainstorm dunno and not necessarily from warmane's side. I mean do guilds enjoy being so many and always lacking people so they use bots and other stuff just to spam for gods know what?
And in addition there was some influx of new players lately for reasons well known and I've realized most of them never touched wotlk. They are walking the roads solo with no access to help due to the bombardment on the global channels.
Anyway I said my piece about it, at least its out there :)

Its because Onyxia warmane isnt an MMORPG anymore.
Guilds arent filling , Why : Bad people get carried in GDKP runs , there are getting more and more GDKP runs every week , TOC will be even worse since it's going to be a fast raid and they can organize more runs.
Good people will also go too these kind of raids, making it a solo player game instead of the mmorpg that it should be , Guilds cant fill because people rather go Full Ulduar HM + alga ( and in the futute TOGC 50/50 in week 2 after release ) and those guilds will lose more and more players.
Guilds dont merge : other loot system, raid days / Hours or their core cant be all soaked in and have a spot if you merge.
GDKP is a cancer on this server and it only spreads and getting worse.

100% agree, you cant get people with positive IQ if your not doing 9/9 HM + algalon now a days.
Hope that they gonna change something with TOC release..
Nerfing bosses isnt the solution..
