Hey everyone,

I've been raid leading on a private server for a while and got tired of bouncing between WCL (overkill for our community), UwU Logs (great but Lordaeron-focused), and homemade spreadsheets. So I built Skald — a free combat log analyzer focused on what actually matters for a raid night.

What it does
DPS / HPS per player, per fight, smoothed 3s curves
Compliance check — who forgot their food/flask before the pull
Top kills cross-logs — see where your raid ranks on each boss
Class / spec stats distribution with percentiles (median, top 25/10/5/1%)
Death recap — what killed each player, who tried to save them, what CDs were missed
Boss mechanics tracking — who ate the Flame Jets, who avoided Defile, etc.
Per-server stats — raid population, top guilds, weekly activity
Discord webhook to auto-post your raid summary in your guild channel

Skald — free log analysis & guild management for WotLK

Hey everyone,

For the last couple of months I've been building skaldlogs.com — a free combat log analyzer + guild toolkit for WoW WotLK 3.3.5 (Warmane and other private realms). No paywall, no signup needed to read logs, no ads on guild pages.

What started as "yet another DPS meter for raid recap" grew into a fairly complete toolset over the last few weeks. Here's everything that's in there today.

For raiders — upload your log, get the full breakdown

• Vue Soirée — drag-drop your WoWCombatLog.txt (or the .skald.json from the offline converter) ? one page recap of the whole raid night. Organized in 6 tabs : Compliance & conso · Top performers · Contribution DPS · Contribution heals · Avoidable damage · Cooldowns. No more endless scrolling.
• Per-fight breakdown — DPS / HPS / damage taken / deaths tables, plus a Death Recap panel that reconstructs the 10s window before each death (damage taken, defensives used, who was healing whom — flags under-healed / no-defensive deaths).
• Player detail modal — opens with DPS + HPS curves, a prepull dots strip (food / flask / potion / raid CD), top damage spells, top heal spells, cooldown timeline. Drag-to-select on the curve to zoom.
• Absorbs counted — Power Word: Shield, Divine Aegis, Sacred Shield, Ice Barrier, AMS — all credited to the proper caster. Disc priests and Holy paladins finally see their real numbers.
• Consumables tracking — combat potions, battle elixirs (Mighty Strength, Spellpower, Wrath…), guardian elixirs (Mighty Defense, Protection…), Mighty Rage, Hyperspeed engi, bombs. Cross-fight dedup so a 60min elixir doesn't count 8x.
• Boss mechanics — dedicated Mécaniques tab listing critical / avoidable mechanics per boss, who got hit how often, what defensives were popped. Coverage : full Ulduar, Naxx, ToC, ICC, RS, Halion, Onyxia — 28+ encounters.
• Compliance grid — at a glance who had food + flask up on every boss of the night. Color + shape coded (colorblind-friendly).
• Public/private toggle — pick at upload time. Private logs only readable by you (RLS enforced). Free regardless.

Cross-log rankings & stats

• Top DPS / HPS per boss at /top — ranking of best kills across all uploaded logs, filterable by server.
• Stats per class+spec at /stats — percentile distribution (P50 / 75 / 90 / 95 / 99) per (server, raid, boss, size). Where do you stand vs the rest of the realm?
• Server pages at /servers/{id} — population stats : raids per week, unique raiders, top guilds (90 days), 12-week activity chart.
• Guild directory at /guilds — every guild that has uploaded logs, sorted by activity. Click through for roster, progression, gear scan.
• Character pages — every player aggregated across their logs, best perf per boss, recent activity.

For guild leads — full management toolkit

If you take ownership of a guild on the site (claim button on the guild page) you unlock :

• DKP — auto-scored from raid logs the moment you upload. Attendance + DPS/HPS rank bonus + consumables + manual adjustments. Editable weights at /dkp/config. Full transaction history at /dkp/history (filterable by player / kind).
• Wishlist BiS — each member picks their BiS items per phase × raid_size × slot via Discord login. Picker shows every drop in the slot for the phase, grouped by boss, with Wowhead tooltips on hover. Alts supported.
• Officer loot console — /loot view : for each boss, who in the guild wants which item, sorted by priority (BiS / Off / Greed) then DKP balance. Recruit / Locked badges. Reads from the same wishlist data.
• Attendance dashboard — matrix of players × raid nights with status per cell (compo / bench / late / tentative / absent / no sign). Filters 30 / 60 / 90 days. Recap stats per player.
• Discord raid sign-up bot — slash command /skald-raid creates a raid event with class & spec dropdown, Late modal asking arrival time, Raid-Helper-style embed (Tank / Melee / Ranged / Heal counters, groups by class).
• Recurring raid templates at /me/raid-templates — daily cron fires a new raid X days before the scheduled night, mentions the configured Discord roles.
• Co-managers — owner can name additional Discord users with edit permissions per guild.

Skald addon (optional, in-game)

A WoW 3.3.5 addon ships alongside the site :

• Auto-enables /combatlog when you enter raid (10 / 25)
• Tracks kills / wipes / pulls in-session, with a fallback boss-detection that doesn't depend on DBM
• End-of-raid popup with a copy-pasteable URL ? opens the upload page
• Loot Council UI (independent of GDKPd) for guild masters who handle distribution manually
• Perso scan (gear + spec) — /skald perso command exports your character payload to paste on /me, populates the guild gear page
• Theme picker (Blizzard color wheel) — match the addon to whatever you like

Other niceties

• 7 languages : French · English · German · Spanish · Italian · Russian · Arabic (with RTL layout)
• Markdown export — copy-paste raid recap to Discord with one click
• Whisper helper — auto-generated whisper messages for performance feedback per raider
• Discord webhook integration — auto-post a raid summary to your guild channel on upload
• GDPR friendly — IPs hashed for analytics, EU server, full cookie consent (Funding Choices)
• No mandatory account — read everything anonymously. Account only needed for private logs, wishlists, guild management.

Quick start :

1. Pull a raid ? /combatlog is enabled automatically if you install the addon, otherwise enable manually
2. At end of raid : grab WoWCombatLog.txt from your WTFAccount folder
3. Drop it on skaldlogs.com/upload
4. Share the link with your guild

Everything is free, ad-supported only on the public landing / log pages, no ads on guild internals.
