WotLK Paladin with Shadowmourne

Hi y'all,
I have recently went and got myself a shadowmourne for my paladin. Though I have been reading through the forum and noticed that its not that worth it for a pally considering I plan on playing for both pve/pvp. But another reason is that my ping is on the range of 190-200ms and by far I have read that paladin is safe to play with that ping considering I am skipping HPal as ive read that crucial heal is needed with faster input.

So for my first question, should I reroll for another class or should I spend my last 50coins on trinkets that is considered competitive to get or just use SM to gear fast in-game. With that in-mind I don't plan on donating again but instead collecting my points daily.

All answers are welcome and I am willing to learn as I am also new to paladin class.

For 10+ years i have played paladin, all specs, currently my ping fluctuates from 130 - 250. No issues in healing or anything as such, just play whatever spec and whatever gear you want, i remember as a newb, i used to tank POS farms with cloth chest and legs because they had better stamina, worked fine and nobody questioned it as i used to survive.

Its a game, enjoy it.
