Hello everyone. So we have been raiding Wotlk expansions for years. Best realms so far, Icecrown, Lordaeron and Onyxia <3
My question is, is there a plan a new Cataclysm realm to be opened in future so we can continue our saga's with same characters that we have been playing for years.

Doubt that, warmane had cataclysm if I'm not mistaken, and they cancel it. It's proven that vast majority of player base care only about wotlk even after so many years.

Thats all fine, Wotlk is nice expansion but after many years im sure there is a lot of players that wish to see their best characters to be moved into the next expansion. I know that this can be done and i hope it happens one day.

Sure there is "a lot", but how much? Few hundred? 1k at max? That not so much so dev had to make another expansion, bosses, quests, pvp spell classes balancing, dungeons etc. Even here on wotlk people find ways how to abuse some system or bug something and devs are repairing it constantly. And this realm is alive 10+ years....it's been stated many times here on forum that's not viable not even as a matter of money, but as a matter of time and effort for them to do that for handful of players.

Also, people are still failing here on wotlk expansion even after 10+years this realm icecrown is going. Look how many people are failing on LK NM tactics, not to mention HC or Halion HC which a lot of people is never going to kill. Heck some people are failing fos pos hor hc bosses. Imagine another expansion, another raid tiers + dungeons + other things

My question was stated generally speaking, i didnt make a petition how many would like a cataclysm realm but im sure out of all wotlk realms on warmane together which counts more than 20k players at least 3k players would like to see their characters continued to next expansion.
Making a new expansion ofcourse its not easy, i never expected to be done in 2 months, that would take maybe a year of preparation but that is all fine, even if we gotta wait 1 year for that.
Warmane is the best private server ever made, i am sure their devs, can work this out.
And about players that still failing LK NM or LC HM thats an isolated problem more like skill issues, nothing to do with cataclysm server.
Most of us here have 99% BIS chars and nothing else to improve except raid logging once a week, clear the raid within 2 hours and log out.
Offering a Cataclysm realm to players that will want their chars to be moved forward, will expand their knowledge, gameplay and experience to a new level, and spending a lot more time beating all those new achivments and raids and PVP seasons.Edited: 4 Days Ago

But you would need those 3k players online at the same time (which is low anyway), otherwise you may end up with number closer to 1k if lucky. Sure there would be maybe some peak numbers like it used to be in frostmourne seasons, but again, in FM realm after hype people just went again to icecrown. Like when FM started it had 10k people, and in 3rd phase after 6-8months it had around maybe 3.5k and they just used scripts they had from icecrown. Imagine what it needs to be done programmimg all the things I mentioned above (quest,spells, bosses, zones etc) and constantly doing updates for bugs, it's just not viable for them for couple hundreds of players. There was MoP realm and there were like 500 people playing it recent years till they completely turned it off, if I remember correctly. To end this, idk wotlk was here 2008, cataclysm 2010, this server is running since 2015 so more then 10y...I guess if they feel to move on to another expansion, they just do, but I doubt that.
