Cross PVP ok, but only under certain conditions

Cross-server pvp is a great way to drastically reduce waiting times for battlegrounds, but for arena I think it should be rethought a bit better due to the difference in equipment between Lordaeron and Icecrown/Blackrock players.

There is no doubt that those of Icecrown and Blackrock are more advantaged in this, with this I am not saying to remove the crossing, but that it is at least reconsidered more carefully.

For example, it could be made(if it is feasible), that at least the arena matches between Lordaeron and Icecrown/Blackrock are only there if Lordaeron players have a rating starting from 1600 or 1700, even less if you want.

There can always be some differences, but you could at least make a few attempts to see by doing this way the matches are a little less unbalanced.

Honestly, you’re hitting the nail on the head, and anyone actually playing on Lordaeron feels this exact same frustration.

We chose this realm because we wanted a real x1 progression experience where gear actually means something. Every piece of Relentless or Wrathful gear we have represents years of hard work and actual dedication. But the moment we step into cross-realm arenas, the playing field completely falls apart.

We are literally queuing into Blackrock players who get instantly gifted level 80 and free starter PvP sets, or Icecrown teams carrying cash-shop Shadowmournes and heroic Deathbringer's Wills that they just swiped a credit card for. It genuinely feels like bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Giving Lordaeron players a buffer zone below 1600 or 1700 rating is honestly a great compromise. It would at least let fresh characters get their feet wet and farm some basic gear against a more reasonable pool before throwing them to the wolves in the cross-realm bracket. Great suggestion, hope the devs actually take a look at this.

Man, I completely feel that. You nailed it—the difference between earning your gear over years on a x1 realm versus someone just swiping a card or spawning an instant-80 is night and day. It really does feel like a knife to a gunfight when the cross-realm queue pops.

That 1600/1700 MMR buffer idea is actually a brilliant compromise. It protects the competitive ladder later on but gives fresh Lordaeron players a genuine fighting chance to gear up without getting absolutely stomped by cash-shop items right out of the gate.

Honestly, this is exactly the kind of feedback the devs need to hear. It’s a constructive, realistic solution that respects the time people put into their characters. Awesome write-up—fingers crossed the dev team actually takes note of this!

I played on Molten pvp only, now I am forced to play PvE because of this cross-realm setting in arenas. This is NOT a Blizz-like server at all. I am focusing on my char playing constantly, but getting crossed with a fully geared team when I am 5.8? Come on! I was 2.4k player, now I am sitting at 1600 and I cannot get my weapons. Something have to change here

I don't think anything will change.
It's easier to leave everything as it is because making changes like the ones described would mean for them to do tests that would require additional time.

Honestly i would better leave as it is right now then waiting unlimited amount of time in queue. But this is understandable. Idk what is the solution really

You could just increase rating when winning cross server. Raise it like 30 more points. I don't think many of the cross platform players are actually that good at the game and often that means they can be beaten by someone who knows CC chains and defensive cooldowns. This is coming from a frost mage who has to deal with Shadowmorne Dks.
