Fishing for achievements and not looting

Hello there! I had an unfortunate situation where I missed the loot of Ironjaw, which would be fine if someone could confirm that I can actually loot it if I fish it again.

What I have noticed is that in my 1000+ casts, a couple of times I clicked on the bobber but nothing happened – no fish were obtained and no loot window opened.

Has anyone experienced something similar? I have a feeling that it’s unobtainable for me now.

I can confirm, i clicked him once away aswell, needed 4h again to catch him tho so goodluck !
