launching prepatch earlier would be way funner for the few ppl that are still playing the server, gonna bring ppl back to test out new specs and abilites and lvl dks, doing like 3-4 lockouts with prepatch classes would keep the server pop high, no reason to lock content until next year, letting the server slowly die while ppl raid log to farm sw
if you think the state of the realm is good and people still wanna stay in SWP is just means you're part of the 1% player that warmane is listening to.
half the players are running GDKPs and most of them are pure scam and half the others are begging for tanks to queue RHC or pay them 50-100g for a run which is already obvious why the server is dead. IDK why Warmane's team listening to the 1% of the players and trying to keep the last phase for almost 40 days. releasing prepatch before decemeber means people can do a lot of stuff and it's more fun that way because there's no need to min max everything for example do BT on a chill night with friends.
Also by doing it more people would join the server or retuning players comeback and by doing that the current player base would go Up automatically so they wouldn't complain anymore about server being dead. Alliance side is just couple of guilds running the entire side and that's it. Horde side is quite better but that's not completely ok to say yeah 5k pop is not dead while you have to literally wait between 40min to an hour just to run a heroic dungeon.
THIS PLEASE, i think server will have a peak really big, and like 3-5 month of 9k people.
The amount of crying about release dates and state of server or what is best/worst to do is ridiculous.
First of all release is always going to suit someone more or less. You can't make everyone happy and don't argue about majority because you will end up being very ignorant. Majority doesn't even express their feelings about releases. They see the info and that's it - they deal with it however.
Second is that there is nothing wrong with state of server. I am someone who enjoys weekly SWP very much and at same time can't wait Wrath to hit which is my most played and fav expansion. Issue is that you are bunch of lazy people who just came to server because of wrath and want everything and want it now.
It's no-ones fault you didn't start server on time, get into a community of any sort where you can play raids and not need PREPATCH to hit so you can clear already pretty easy raids. Don't forget this is progressing classic server Vanilla>TBC>Wrath. If you only care about 1 thing be patient about it because you are in theory that 1% of server compared to someone who plays server from start and will be here when you start wiping in Ulduar and call it.
Third point is about yappers crying 1 week is not enough to grind for Naxx. Dudes it's called a grind for a reason. If you can't do it then you will play the raids later when you can. The whole concept about releasing first raid 1 week after release, which is a standard on almost every classic server, is to clear first raids in pretty tight timeline. If you can't prepare yourself to accomplish that very early for whatever reason well.. sounds like you issue.
Finally to get to my main point is that you are not forced to play here. This server is healthy since day 1 and will stay for this upcoming year without a doubt.
Not many servers can say the same considering span of 2 years how much it has been so far to keep these numbers. If you are calling it dead now bcs your dng queue wont pop - bro best case scenario you're stupid.
So do not focus on information that is already given to us if you want to play here. Focus on asking them information we didn't get and it's quite useful for everyone and anyone such as
-Difficulty/HP values set for wrath
-PTR server
-Professions during pre-patch (new one will be up i'm sure but confirmation wont hurt)
-Any pvp related questions
...and so on. Smiley face
The reason they are recieving a lot of backlash right now is because they announced a perfectly fine release date for both pre-patch (Dec 13th) and WOTLK release (Dec 27th) and they caved to the few crybabies within hours and now we have this ridiculously postponed release.
If anything it should had been moved forward atleast 1 week, not delayed by 2.
Some people want an earlier release, some later, but changing the schedule based on the abstract opinions of a few people seems unsightly. Changes requested by the community should at least be based on a vote.
Hey there,
What are the plans about raid difficulty? It would be awesome if they are like frostmourne
Keep us posted!
Previous release dates were okay but some 2-3 neets asked to postpone it to bypass all holiday break when working people with jobs will have time to grind.
Previous release date suited more people, new release dates definitely favours only people without jobs.
I played on onyxia since vanilla, and really for now i have nothing else to do than running SWP once per week, you know something that doesn't require holiday break to do so. Basically i wont have anything to do during holiday break when tbc is still there.
You know when me and other working people would need a holiday break, during release of wotlk when there is a lot of grinding before naxx.
7 days for naxx is not a problem if i would grind dutring holiday break like many people there. BUT NOT AFTER HOLIDAY BREAK IN A DAMN JANUARY.
I will be lucky if i would have 1 hour per day to play in january. Then around 7 hours is not enought to get 80 lvl get reputation, get professions etc. etc.
We care about the biggest problem which is Warmane team's terrible decision to change dates to bypass entire holiday break because 1-2 neets asked for that and from now ignoring all the rest of the community asking to revert back these terrible changes so they will have time to grind and prepare for naxx release.
First we must fight bad changes, then if warmane team finally stops ignoring majority of normal people who have jobs and change wotlk release date back when it didnt bypassed holiday break, then we can talk about other stuff.
LITERALLY THIS, like he say, bring prepatch earlier
No, the reason we are "receiving a lot of backlash" is that the few of people who had been trying to smoother any players wanting a later release (and I don't mean just in this thread) got their guilds and alts to come add numbers.
