Well some of us have more skills on an alts actually. My dk tank is actually and alt, my main is a holy priest.
My alt is more geared as He is needed more by my guildies.
As for the no alt thing, I understand, yet still disagree for certain reasons.
Not everyone uses a guild for gearing up. Just because it's an alt doesn't make that toon a carry or that they're only joining a guild for gear.
Many prefer to put an alt into various guilds, so they can actually scout for the guild they want to put their main in. I will always apply for a guild with my alt, because if they can't respect my lower geared player, then I'm not bringing anything better geared into the question, for they themselves just have gear on the mind.
And when gear is the only thing you worry about, you're no different than the average fail pug.

Thats your opinion, and I respect it, but I don't agree. A guild should never respect your alts because you don't respect the guild enough to apply with your main to begin with, works both ways.
I'm not talking about people's alts that are just as geared as their main or even more, or the alts they play equally good on, because if that was the case then we wouldn't know it was an alt to begin with, nor would we care.
In Aurora's case, nobody was ever rejected SOLELY for being an alt, its usually known players attempting to put their lower geared alts in the guild, and basically disrespect us by not even applying with their main. Aurora is NOT an alt guild. Nor do we care about gear, however we care about how much a player would be dedicated to the guild, and if they would not bring in their best, there's no reason to let them play with the best.
People have been accepted almost naked, for making an extremely exceptional app to convince our app mods that they are worth taking in and gearing up.
Furthermore everyone who applied with their main, and listed all their alts (as theres a question about their class/spec as well) and was more needed on an alt then main, was also accepted for having a good app even tho their main's class is temporarily full in the guild.
I don't think you realise which guild's recruitment thread you're posting in.And when gear is the only thing you worry about, you're no different than the average fail pug.

Im only raiding alts over 1,5 years now :D
and after 2,5 years of farming the same content, why would we care about gear?
we got also alot ppl with alts in alot different guilds - aslong they re not ditching us for them during our raidtimes it wont cause any problems.
But at least its good for the server to have more capable raidingguilds now on ragy, +1 and keep going the good work.
so i guess the only guy who comes up with gear issues is williamdavis himsef.
so be calm and get some cake :P
exceptional applicants will allways be accepted reguardless of gearscore.

I don't think any of you understand what Eva's saying. Deathrevenge, Ofcourse se people aren't able to raid on their respective alts because we're simply full on them, we daily decline apps simply because we have too many of the said class, same goes for the alts people make, I daily tell people I'm not sure it I can take them since we have too many of some classes/specs. As that's not what the main problem, the current problem is that people apply on this less-geared characters to "have guild they can raid in", if you apply, we expect you to fully dedicate yourself to us, Aurora's not a guild for you if you're planning to just put an alt here for X period to watch how we raid, or if you're wanting to use Aurora as a backup guild or as a means to gear your toons up and leave, then we won't accept you, no chance.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, about recruitment. I can NOT STRESS ENOUGH that we're currently full on MOST classes unless an officer or me posts something in this thread. We will ALWAYS be open for any exceptional applicants, but as it is right now, we're already rejecting applications due to the class simply being full. I'm aware it's not very visible on our website on what we currently need, I'll rework that whenever I've time. If you've been rejected, feel free to ask any officer ingame why we've chosen to reject you, we're open about it.
