Nothing could be further from the truth. Life was incredibly hard, people died from mere cuts, life expectancy was very low, few women and children survived birth, rape, crime, thievery, cruelty was extremely comon, you had no such thing as vacation. You worked from dawn to dusk for next to nothing, no medicine, people were unhealthy, everything was diseased.

Stop believing the romantic stories of medieval knights in shining armor. Fun fact, in the medieval times, there were no plate armors. They appeared to be widespread during the renaissance period, at the very end of the medieval age.
