News about coin reset and legendary items

That probably will only be answered along with the release of the Legendaries. It's possible that this situation will be taken in consideration, either allowing you to refund coins used on the "wrong" account so you can sue them on the "right" one or allowing you to get the weapon on the "wrong" account, but it could also be considered that the item belongs to the original account and that's it.

i have the same issue as nevermor3. after the server wiped, i have made a new pally under the same name but different account.

if there's such requirements, i hope you guys can detect the SM wielder by the character's name too.

That for sure won't happen. Anyone could have created a new character with the same name as someone who used to have a Legendary item. The only thing linking ownership is the account, so at most two accounts that can be verified to belong to the same player could be considered available for reacquiring the items, but even that I can say for sure will happen.

I dont understand why admins bare so much with those ' emo rage kids ' who cant affroad any of the Legendary Weapons , You guys know which account owned them in past already , and i have no clue why people is still bragging out for Legendary's to not be released , if this wipe never happend we would still have our legendaries and still own those ' emo kids' . So in my opinion you should just ignore what they saying , because i bet all of them 99% of ppl who cant buy shadowmourne or Valanyr are people who never has it . I think you should guys put it on marketplace and let who had it buy it once again even for 150 coins it seems fair for me. By the way when it will be up? :)

That's actually better... because few of my character names were taken by other players.

If it's needed I can open a ticket and give all the information about my accounts or verify them through the e-mails with code, link or something other.

Also, since I am going to play with my "wrong" account, you can make the SM unavaible for my other account, to be fair for both sides. This way I will get my item, which I had and I won't buy more, which I didn't pay for.

I hope there will be some instuctions for cases like mine. Otherwise, I will concider sending a ticket.

No, it doesn't seems off at all. You made a choice to gear up four characters instead of investing on a Legendary item. They made the opposite choice. They are being given a chance to use their refunded coins to simply get back something they met hard requirements to have.

So let me put it this way then: is it fair that the investment in coins and time that people who got Shadowmourne before gets thrown in the trash because people who preferred to gear a wide number of characters with those coins got all of those spent (and quite well time-worn) coins refunded?

PS: Just in case - it's a rhetorical question, since the answer is obvious.



You can rebuild your old characters. You have your coins back, some extra as a gift, a bunch of bonuses to help, and the servers online for you to work on rebuilding them back to their previous glory.

First of all you are under the false impression that i've spent only the amount of 1x Shadowmourne coins. I had a lot more than that, and gearing 4 chars took em all. With the coins i had i could've fully gear a single char with smourne. I also had all the requierments to buy a smourne and quite cheap actually. The only difference is that i didn't :) So tell me why don't i have this great "investment in coins and time"? Just because i clicked the 'SEND' button more than one time and it got me more items than just a legendary? How come those shadowmourne carriers are praised as elite players because they bought an item and me who i've repeatedly donated, helped molten and spend many days on, em not? And what is this "(and quite well time-worn)"? Did shadowmourne dissapeared after a few weeks of playtime? They enjoyed that axe just as much as i did with my gear.
As for all of you ragers pls go rage somewhere else, i am trying to understand how is it possible to be discriminated in such an ugly manner AND pretend it's all right by the very staff that gets payed with our money.

Opening a ticket before anything is even decided and announced won't do you any good. Just wait until Edifice gives information on how that will be handled.

But yeah I agree. The restriction on Shadowmourne is completely illogical and hypocritical.

Example 1:

1. Player A and Player B both purchase Shadowmourne before wipe.
2. Server Wipe occurs and coins are refunded + bonus coins
3. NO INFORMATION ABOUT SM IS GIVEN
4. Player A uses the coins to regear his characters
5. Player B waits to see is Molten will provide any information
6. Shadowmourne is suddenly released
7. Player B enjoys broken item, Player A.. tough luck YOU SHOULD HAVE PREDICTED THE FUTURE

Example 2:

1. Player A purchases Shadowmourne before wipe, but Player B donates and spends the coins on other items instead
2. Server Wipe occurs and coins are refunded + bonus coins
3. NO INFORMATION ABOUT SM IS GIVEN
4. Shadowmourne is suddenly released
5. Player A is given Shadowmourne.. AT A REDUCED PRICE? Player B is told he is less important and ineligible.. despite donating the same amount of money to the server.

I have a few suggestions about how to handle people who remade their SM chars on a different account, including myself. It's easy and the groundwork for it is already in place. Gifting. Let accounts be able to gift the ability to buy SM. You can have the same restrictions on this kind of gifting as normal if you like. Two-Step Authorization and what-not.

Example:
I bought SM on account one. Now my DK is on account two and already BiS except SM. I log into account one and "gift" my ability to buy SM to account two.

If for some reasons that fails...I don't know why you could do tickets.

Example:
I bought SM on account one. Now my DK is on account two and already BiS except SM. I log into account one and create ticket with the issue. GM gives me a "code" (could be whatever but a like a 6-8 digit PIN would be good). I now log into account two and create a ticket which includes that "code." GM can see ticket and the code and now verify it's the same account owner. GM can now transfer SM ability to buy SM.

Other options or requirements, is to require two-step authentication enabled.

Another suggestion is to allow character porting from one account to another. Certainly it isn't difficult to do. It would just require a ticket made.

Your Example 1, where you say there was no Shadowmourne information given is so ****ing wrong. There was a thread made by Kaer Wolf regarding Shadowmourne, day of even few hours after servers started running again. It's not their fault that you or others in this situation didn't bother to find this thread or similiar to it beucase there were like 1 thousand. Unlike the rest of cry babies that spent their coins, I saved my coins thanks to the information that Kaer Wolf provided us.

Your Example 2, where it says that some are getting Shadowmourne and others are not because they are less important and ineligible is wrong as well. From the first day, we were told that we will have the opportunity to requip our characters. In other words the donated items you had before the wipe would be able for you once again. So the people who had Shadowmourne before the wipe, now are able to requip it again. And the others who suddenly got filled with coins and now want to have it decide to start crying how unfair it is. Well I am sorry but you should have had it before the wipe, so you can have the opportunity to requipt it. For you and the others who can't get it now there will be chance to try it after they set the Legendary item available for everyone.
