Ok first I had a hard time with the title as I don't want it to be misleading so this is the best I came up with.

So first, a question to those who do it. Why do you pk a character who has 0% chance to fight back? What drives you to do so? Now before you all say this is a QQ thread it isn't. Far from it. Leveling from 1-47got killed 2x by high level players. Which is pretty low imo. The deaths didn't bother me. Soulstone OP :P

That being said I want to know your reasons for it. I will admit in the past I have pk'd low level players myself. I even asked this to myself and I came up with this answer. I don't like their name. That is what drives me to pk lowbies 90% of the time. The other 10% is me just being bored when traveling from 1 place to another. Only 1 time I had constantly pk'd low level players in 1 area that forced other 80s/85s/90s to come around. (Rogue OP) And I was able to slip away then pk and hide on these lowbies. I was just simply bored and I felt that it was a game of Hide and Seek in the form of PKing lowbies when you're being hunted by max lvl characters. In all honesty it was pretty fun (felt like a freaking ninja). But in the end I got bored and left. (wasn't killed cause I guess I was to fast) and left.

However, there is a 3rd reason that I would Pk a lowbie. If they attack me first I would kill them. (Doesn't happen often but some people are just kinda dumb I guess). Now usually if I pass a lowbie of the opposite faction I would either follow them around (which can make anyone uneasy) and help them quest (assuming I am not doing anything) or just pass them.

So I'll ask again, why do you PK lowbies with your max level characters?

Why even ask such a question ? ... Some ppl have fun doing it = the end.

i have some insight to offer on the matter; in one sense, small minds are easily amused, but let's not devalue these players. I used to be an inexperienced PvPer, and I found it quite amusing even fun to kill lowbies.. this was during wrath of the lich king on retail. As years went by and i got a stronger grasp of mine and other classes, I found it much much more enjoyable to fight people my level. There's nothing that compares to the rush of fighting someone who could kill you. Killing lowbies is often done by people who are just getting the hang of watching players health bars disappear. They are still learning and one day might even start ****ing you up in a fair fight! The best thing to do is to fight them, give them experience in real pvp. Cultivate them like a tiny sapling.

I can tell these people are largely inexperienced because I have fought TONS of them, and they show telltale signs: panicking, poor positioning, blowing cooldowns haphazardly, etc. Sometimes they just stop moving like a deer in the headlights. Anyway, it's funny because on Ragnaros i have killed soooooo many ****ing 80's for killing lows, one of the most satisfying feelings in the world is seeing some 80 rofldin hunter etc popping a dk in hellfire peninsula, then before they have a chance to run and before the DK even releases, to run down and slaughter him right in front of the lowbie he killed, then to get whispered "tnx" afterwards.

maybe there are exceptions to this rule. Maybe there's the odd good player who resorts to lowbie ganking as some sort of 'revenge' shtick where they went through hell leveling and so should the other faction, like it's some sort of rite of passage on a pvp server, but I have literally never died to these kinds of players and I've killed oh so many, only a handful have even gotten me below 70%... Although I may be a shadow priest I don't think that's really an excuse.

Somewhat related though, i remember one time I was helping my friend do a quest in stv with low drop rates and there was a big bottleneck of players, i think it was zanzil mixtures.. anyway my buddy was basically the minimum level for the quest, so these people 7-10 levels above him were just piledriving him. I simply healed/bubbled him kept renew rolling and killed mobs as he tagged them, I did not kill these people. About 10 mins later I guess someone called for help because a feral druid opened up on me. Make no mistake, this guy was very good at the game.

Not to brag but with over 5 years of retail pvp experience there are very few people on this server I can't manhandle, and this guy was above the average mid-high range arena player/bg hero/durotar duelmonkey. Anyway, we both died. At the exact same time essentially, and we just.. laid there on the ground for a few seconds not sure what to think. I wasn't expecting someone like that and I'd bet he wasn't expecting someone like me to be ****ing around with lowbies because he no doubt, like me, has done this a lot and with the kind of skill he had i doubt any lowbie killer really gave him any problems. Course, I wasn't killing lows, just making a ~35 player invincible vs 40+'s.

Props to the guy though. I decided to leave afterwards because he got back to his corpse first (herp derp night elves) and was probably in stealth fully healed waiting for me so I knew reviving was a terrible idea considering how close the fight was when we were both full i'd have gotten murdered spawning at a lower %. I lingered in the zone and would have came back if my buddy had ran into trouble after that, but it didn't happen.

he didn't kill my lowbie friend who was still on the quest at all, but that's not really a surprise. Like i said, only terrible players get a thrill out of that. This guy can mangle most people his level so why would he go for free kills?

What if that level 30 Paladin you killed in Stranglethorn vale is the main of that player? I understand that players like you dont have the skill to kill max level players but still you should take this into account.

You should take in consideration with who you speak first then judge about "skill" but you know stereotypes gonna be stereotypes,tragic logic,saying that if you kill a lowbie you have no skill,we should meet in blackrock or DW,i wanna see if you will be the same lion in-game like on forum,judging everyone without knowing them.

Well I was gonna make a new character here but with the attitudes of all these *******s on this server no thank you. From the outside looking in your nasty, immature attitudes towards the playerbase wouldn't make anyone want to play here. If warmane really does want to be the best they have to cater to all types of players. If they opened a pve server people would flock here in droves. Ive met so many people on many other servers looking for a good pve server to play on. I really hope you gankers grow up one day because something is really wrong with you if you think making others miserable is a fun thing to do.

Dont worry, nearly all ******ed kids play in Deathwing&Ragnaros. If you want to play with normal players just play in Lordaeron, the "hardcore" part keeps the morons to a minimum.
