Hello I created my demo lock alt last month on another account and today it dinged 80(1x)! I am currently a fresh level 80 demo lock and I needed help in what items should I get for now. I have 1k vote points if that would help~. My plan was to go for the "spirit stacker" build because I fear that maximum dps route might have items that are harder to obtain and might be more expensive(this is just my opinion though~ you can tell me if i got it wrong xP). I'll be looking forward to anyone who want to help :)

Prob the 239 gear.. The trinket ( Flare) is boss, the off-hand and gloves arnt bad either! The u can get from badge / instance farming. ^_^

its not a bad guide but a BIS lock will be able to pull more then that. im nearly bis im 6545 gs and missing just 2 offset pc's till BIS and im able to pull 22k in a 10m and 24-27k in a 25m with a decent raid comp for locks. id give it an 8/10

With spirit stacking you're basically after trying to raise your spell power as much as possible so as to provide as big of a demonic pact buff. Hence, you don't leave any possible sources of spell power unturned which include spirit since a percentage is converted to spell power. While selfish lock just looks to maximize every other stat save spirit, trying to maximize their own DPS than the raid.

Edit: Personally I'd only go for spirit stacking if you're a very well geared lock since it only starts to make significant numbers for your spell power once you reach 400-500 spirit, and for most part its not exactly that easy to acquire good gear with spirit till ICC 25 drops noted on the list (which is your primary source of spirit as you won't be going out of your way to take other spirit gear).

You can move that 1 point from Imp Healthstone to Fel Synergy, if your pet dies at BQL or Sindy...

By the way I prefer to switch out one of the BIS haste trinkets with PotNL, for the nice SP proc. It means bigger crits. But should I really be using both haste trinkets for consistent damage?

Phylactery and Scale are BiS... basically crit + haste with SP proc is an awesome combo :3

honesty u have to keep in mind that haste is lowering crit chance not only by missing %.
I mean, it goes like this:
With BiS gear i stacked on it haste gems and my SB and SF did only 50% crits.
When i regemmed to normal (23sp,12sp10haste,12sp10spirit - NO CRIT GEMS so basicly my crit % was same) i did again around 70-80% crits shadow bolts and soul fires)

In other words on molten something might be messed up so lower haste makes higher crits. I know it can sounds like absurd but it's tested.

Atm best haste as demo for me is around 1550 including grand spellstone. In raid u will anyway have for example shamans haste totem and retri aura which decrease your casting time of SBs and SFs goes down to exacly 1sec.
