How "recent" are we talking here? I very rarely see paladins and mages get up to these numbers since the fixes in january, let alone support classes such as shaman.
Do we even play on the same server? Or does everyone in this section take some really hard drugs?

Hey buddy, I see your sense of humor :).
Ele Shamans
Since the "January's fixes" the AVG DPS was decreased by 10,000 points. The Fire Mages and Retry Paladins can pull like 20-22k DPS max on DBS (mixed single target and AoE DPS, when the beasts are summoned) currently. Retry Paladin's AoE DPS is OP in ICC, due to increased dmg vs undead and bugged Seal of Command ability (scales a lot from Attack Power, but should not). I must to admit, that some buffs are still bugged and procs randomly (just scale: crit chance, attack power, incrased dmg and/or speed). Without these random bugged buffs the characters DPS should vary between 15-19k DPS as was on official Blizzard servers.
Those old times, when you was able to burst the LK25HC through phases, using Nepeta Leaf or/and Fate Rune of Baneful Intent, with a bit bugged Val'kyrs and Vile Spirts are gone!!! Good skills or even "epic" skills and knowledge about your character spec valued much more now.
The max DPS I was able to pull on DBS was: 21k DPS (summer '14) --requires a "hard work" and some addition potions (Wild Magic). I see no sense to overdps, just relax, play for fun and listen RC and music :)
Have another video about guild LoD. Will publish soon.
Enhancement Shamans
That's true, their Spirit Wolves are bugged currently (primary stats are lower than supposed) and Glyph of Spirit Wolf not working also (+30% of the shaman attack power to them). Another bad news - Enh shamans have 2-3% increased chance of glancing blows on Molten(25-27% vary).
Basically they are very nice for PVP (dueling and 2v2 arena, even 3v3). In general, they looks pretty nice for PVE also but many of their harm abilities will remain untouched for long time after CD, during the DPSing (this is their main minus). I began to play this stat not so long ago (6.3kGS leveled) and I can easily pull 17500 DPS at DBS. I found this spec, among other specs, the hardes to play well and to balance gear stats under play style respectively. Maybe this is the hardest character to play well in PVE.
So, if you wanna level try this spec, but for HC raids use Resto or Ele at the beginning. When skills will be ebought - try this also.
Compared to this spec a ele shaman is easier to play (you can focus more on encounter or boss abilities cooldown), but to pull high DPS values with ele shaman you need other kind of good skills ;)
As i sow your discusion i will just drop a screen shoot i made like 4-5 days ago about ele dps and what can be done as such, even tho ppl are underestimating ele. My ui is not bright and shiny but i hope u will ignore it ;)
Overall dps Enhancement. They are very rare, and in the hands of a skilled and aggressive player, they roll out dps faster than any other class. Elemental have an instant crit and people love seeing a lava burst hit for 20k, but when that is on CD, they are very dependent on their lightning bolts procing. if they have to move or they don't proc their dps suffers greatly.
Enhancement benefit from every buff from every character. Everything makes them stronger. Elemental and Resto only benefit from caster buffs, enhancement benefits from caster and melee. In a 25 man team, your dps skyrockets and it is sustained damage with no diminishing returns, and no downtime.
however, enhancement is very gear dependent. but every upgrade is very noticeable, and your dps has this wonderful habit of doubling, and when you crit, you crit huge.... know the playstyle, know the gear, time your windfury, and pull out your cryptmaker for the 1 shot 40k. otherwise, 25-28k dps sustained is pretty good in 25 man raids.
I'm not sure what world you live in, but I've never seen ANY class sustain 25k in a 25 man raid on new core, BiS Mage on DBS excluded. Do you have screenshots / some sort of proof of this?
