No offense, players of Lordaeron, but I really do not see enough people coming to this realm. Lordaeron's playerbase's donations wont cover the costs of the realm in my opinion.

There is no point in launching Lord x1 realm. Actualy there is no people to even fill existing realms...
Even if you do release it how many players will play it ? 400 ? 650 ? It wont pass 1k. Sooner or later you will release there full donations..
It's too late now with all this "most blizzlike" LK realm ever. it should be done 4 years ago. Instead of ur effort u put now into lord x1 you should move it to other LK realms and MOP then Cata.
Why are you so sure ppl wont play it? You asked every player on Warmane? Lord is gonna be progressive blizzlike realm which means even if you are lvl 80 you can't start LF icc rep farm or LFM RDF HC 5.5k gs req.
Many people consider ICC to be the best raid. How long will the realm be without the best raid in history of WoW for those who consider it such? Also, progressive means that each will be for some time to be farmed and as far as I remember from Retail TOC farming was not fun for most people yet you will again have to do it if you want to advance in it AS IN PROGRESSIVE realm. So this progression is not so totally great at all...
I hope you all here are capable of understanding that Ragnaros and Deathwing as they are can not bring fresh new people to play on Warmane. Simply because a donor situation is completely out of order there, and majority of new guys just don't want to cope with that. It's kinda easier to find another server.
So if you ask me staff here plans to bring "outside" players to start on Lord, however, they will have to fix many bugs out there to beat the competition on order to do so. That also means Wotlk will have to get full attention and all other expansions will have to be put on halt status UFN.
All in all idea as it is is not that bad if they wanna bring new blood here, but they better have some near flawless scripts or they are in some fiery surprise.
Its no secret lord was a 'smaller' community so its a hard decision, if its progression with little to no donation item's besides mounts and vanity items its gonna eat into profits of the other servers. So do they NOT give back the server that many players called home for year's or open 'The Dream Server' i have no problem with them opening lord go for it,but it wont be 99% blizz like for a long time which defeats the purpose of it so imo keep it in ptr stage let people level open a lord specific bug tracker for various quest's dungeons ect and work from the bottom to the top fixing every little detail possible THEN release it.
You make a good point about bringing new blood. If Lordaeron happens to exceed our expectations, then it might as well become our flagship realm. We can't expect it to be an overnight success; in time, the team will win back the people's trust again and then we can expect a resurgence.
And I'm glad nobody is bringing up they miss the old Lordaeron community. Like p-lease, I played there during its last days and the community at the time was dead and full of trolls. For one, the gs requirements (in guild and in pugs) were higher than WotLK realms are asking now. That is ridiculous for a x1 realm which would take you much longer to gear up. And it doesn't end there. Despite the gs requirments, a lot of pugs fail. Obsidian Sanctum wipes anyone? How about a pro raid wiping at gunship? Not to mention, the bored stoned immature ****tards ruling global chat at midnight. It was a miserable place so I finally quit sometime before moltdown.
Here's hoping to a brighter rebirth.

Kaer what would happen if this realm has low population ?I mean as long as its not below 1500 its ok for everything except for pvp.So my question is , if you guys are working on cross realm BGs would lordaeron be included ?
Lord was fun when I remember starting there two or three years ago when I started wow on this server. I didn't faceroll my way to getting max level but learned how to actually use my toon and got to level many times with people instead of just leaving, come back 5 lvls stronger, then proceed faceroll til end game. Some people don't like leveling or see the fun that could be had with it. I remember as a lvls 40-50 in a dungeon watching a frost mage tank for my group when the tank left. That was hilarious and fun. Idk why people think it is such a bad idea (especially since it had been around for quite some time But people make it sound like this hasn't been done before ) people like to counter with l chances lvls slow does not equal skill. I agree to a point but people will complain about how they can't find competent people who know their role and I heard it many times. It's not a end all solutions but step in the right direction. Oh well ignore if you want.
Seacrest out
Should be fine as long as it would be on level of Blackrock and Warsong, with a few hundred players.
Personally I don't expect it to be very highly populated, not at launch at least. Perhaps over time as word of mouth would spread - if the realm deserves it. One thing is for sure that those who would play there are people who want to experience one or more characteristics that would make Lordaeron different - its challenging and hardcore characteristic giving vanilla vibes on one of the best expansions (if not the best) that many people consider Wrath of the Lich King to be. It's the characteristic of the realm that we're working on in hopes to achieve low level world PvP, traveling and natural encounters and having a memorable experience for as many as want to experience it.
We're considering on how to make it properly progressive. Some people even suggested progressive level cap after launch. Lordaeron will not be perfect at launch but we don't want to launch it until we know that it is better than our existing Wrath of the Lich King realm are and by far better than anywhere else. The capacity for flexible testing and making changes to Lordaeron [ALPHA] that we have allows us to prepare to implement Lordaeron's eventual improvements to other realms without making any "live tests" on current ones.
