Why peoples plays more MOP than Cata?

For me is simple- if I have high end pc I would play cool rpg games like- Witcher 2 and 3, Middle earth SoM, Dragon age Inquisition etc. But cuz I don't have, I am playing wow ^_^

WoD has better graphics tho. I've quited that because my pc couldn't handle it.

Well, Swifty playing WoW at 4x GTX Titans and 2x Xeons model 2687 xD You could run two Witchers with that kind of monstrosity in your house.

Hey, I hope that WoD rumors are not true, beacuse that would be worse thing ever if they release WoD. Not only beacuse its sh1t expansion, but of course beacuse they would totally lose any kind of focus on other expansions.

Anyways, please, bring MoP to at least playable level... at the moment even shooting from Wand / using Throw is bugged.........

Well that was until WoD, by far WoD surpasses Cata as the worst by a long shot. People were complaining that Cata instances were to hard, but at least there were instances to do. There were things to do in Cata, but WoD, no way. Sit in your garrison all day do your little facebook game and only leave to go raid and that's well about it.

Here is the thing about your point of the garrisons. No one stated you had to sit in them all day. No one said you had to do any of the things inside it. That is the player mentality feeling like they have to, in reality they don't. As for lvling in WoD, the quests were pretty good imo. Dungeons (from the few I been in) were pretty awesome (Sadly need a newer pc to handle said dungeons)

Can anyone answer the question?

In the Mop servers are most of the game buggy (instances,raids)
and in Cata are all instances,raids open and works fine almost.

But why plays so much people at the Mop Server?

because its newer. we've had cata and wrath on molten for prolly 2-3 years now. and mop is alot more recent for them so they all jump over there to do the new raids and such. from a pvp view point tho mop's kinda dull tbh (and i played it on live) it was only fun in 3v3 and 3v3 is the one bracket on molten that is always dead. 2v2 in mop was ****.

Cata is the worst of all expansions, people will naturally stay away from that thing regardless if scripted or not. It's just the truth.

Cata wasnt there for the casuals that play WoW.
People complained it was too hard, good a game is meant to be challenging.
It was balanced, it was good and it was my favourite expansion.

Wow, I thought you are hard core wow player and that you will probably say tbc-cuz it was hard as f*** or even wotlk cuz it had best lore and maybe the best raid ever but cata o.O ? Thats quite surprise :)

I agree, I don't understand the Cata hate. It was a great expansion, and honestly Hunters were never as fun as they were in Cata (I've played them in every expansion, except level 100 in WoD).

That said, I still think LK and TBC reign supreme, because of the lack of flying mounts in Azeroth. I really REALLY wish WoW never added ANY flying mounts, but alas, wutdo.

I don't get why hunters were the class chosen to be dumbed down in MoP to the point that you just use chimera shot and kill people (apart from warriors too ofc... my god what they did to warriors is nothing short of a war crime >.>)

Cata raids on release were near impossible. They had to be dumbed down over and over again so people could clear them...

If I'm not wrong, release Ragnaros was the hardest fight ever put in the game? Release C'thun was MAYBE harder as it was a 40 man encounter that was also, like Rag, poorly balanced.

Nonetheless, Cata classes in general were more -complex- than previous expansions, and that certainly added some flair to the game.

Thats ok cuz its personal preference. I don't have nothing against it but for me as Warcraft 3 fan (I spent years in watching replays and tournaments in tft WCG, ESWC, chinese, korean's, eu cups ....) I found wotlk the best expansion cuz of superb lore, teritory, music, raids (good raids and pugs doable from day 1), that expansion makes you feel like you are part of that lore.

Hard?
If there's a balanced expansion it is WoTLK. TBC was hard and rather bureaucratic. Vanilla even more. They were also time-consuming. But Cata? Please. Except maybe pre-nerf Firelands, content was easy and boring. Even WoD has better challenges. MoP was better than both of them in every way.

I wouldnt be too excited about WoD here on warmane, on Retail 6.1 was pretty boring, I'm testing 6.2 out and its pretty cool, still its gonna get boring soon.
I doubt that Warmane could deliver enjoyable game experience with Warlords of Draenor, since it sucks on retail, and there are very minimal amount of bugs.

Here is a tip to people who never played retail, it's worth trying out, It can be really fun!
I don't know why would staff even consider possibility of opening WoD realm at some point.
By the way, this is not me being anti-warmane player, its just how it is, and I think that WoD wouldnt be successful.

They cant script WOD good for a few years so no point to leave expansions that we already have. For example this quest is not scripted yet after all those years:
