1. I beg to differ with other posters. It's nice we have people in the community doubting because I do not know the estimates as well!

It's not like stefeman is begging the staff to hand over him private information.

  2. whats the point of this thread anyway?

    #BringBackPetBattles
Congrats! petbattles are back (probably temporary)!

  3. a) there are a lot more staff members (id guess atleast 20 and that does not include moderators; so I'd guess)
    b) there are different salaries for them reaching from 1.5k-4k+, so that number is far wrong.

  4. You forgot to add in the cost of the botnet they use to DDoS other servers. JK JK DONT BAN ME PLS

    c) the server costs are wrong
    d) the server count is wrong

    xD

and every time they turn them on I always miss those 10 minutes, lol

  7. t's nice we have people in the community doubting because I do not know the estimates as well!
I fail to understand how that's a good thing.

  8. my guess is around 35000~40000$ / month
    just saying

  9. This is nice and all but, why are we discussing this again?

If you would want to determine the cost of the operation, try and do the field work to check how much it would cost you to run a server. You are likely to get a somewhat accurate figure, you are also likely to get better offers if you check for tenders from 3rd parties.

And there is no one out there that would tell you the actuals because remember servers like these are not supposed to make profits on paper.

  10. That was me, I guess. I remember saying that a lot. It's no secret that all of our staff are highly dedicated staff members. Our GM team deals with more than 16 000 ticket responses each month, our moderating team does thousands of mod actions and the QA team goes through testing absolutely huge chunks of content and on top of that we probably have the largest development team out there full of skilled individuals whose work is absolutely amazing.

Our servers are high-end machines and not the common stuff you can order like it's pizza but hardware and similar costs fade in comparison to having a team of 40 + people being dedicated full time to Warmane. We are proud of making a difference in the lives of those that contribute to the well-being of our project. I guess you can see that the team mentality and pride is strong by the amount of 'we' and 'our' in this post.
40 ppls, 39working on lordaeron Kappa

  11. 38, cus one also on cata... oh wait Kappa

  12. IDK why is the GM work so hard tho? I literary haven't seen a GM yet on molten(oh sorry warmane too) that answers logically and not with macros like a robot. Also when you ask for help or just wanna ask for something it's either "It's not in my competency" or "Report to bugtracker" (the one nobody ever looks at). Not amused that players in the Cataclysm realms are in free-fall mode atm. U literary don't expect that from one of the best (if not the best) private server out there.

I remember when i reported a player to a gm, who ninjaed in a raid, i had mentioned in which realm it was, i had 2 ss of who really won with the roll and how the raidleaders roll was lower and how the raidleader still ninjaed the item, how people were calling him a ninja and the person who said but he won with the roll. The gms answer was this is not sufficient enough to ban that person, i asked but what proof can i more provide, if this isn't enough? Didn't get an answer, but seriously what else could i have provided O.o?

you need pictures of the loot rules at the beginnin of the raid, to show that there were actually loot rules set. doesn't matter if 24/25 players in a raid say the leader ninja's.

  15. It was voa and i don't think i have ever seen people who have made voa, make a loot rule at the start. Most pug runs don't even mention any loot rules. Oh and the item that was ninjaed by the raidleader, it wasn't even main spec for him, so if there aren't any loot rules set, you can ninja? but whatever seems this doesn't change s**t.
