1. Both PvE and PvP have their own "milestones" for content and gear you can get out of that content. Having progression tuned to the players' pace would simply mean giving comfortable time for current players to, to a certain extent, reach equivalent PvP and PvE milestones before going on to the next. I don't see new content coming out right when someone gets a Realm First for something, nor it being delayed until everyone has reached the milestones. A balance between neither rushing or holding back players will be the aim, from my understanding, and new players that come later will have the same experience someone joining late for a MMO would have.
    That sounds perfect to me.

One thing I want to say is that I hope the first WotLK tier (Naxxramas / Deadly Gladiator season) won't last too long because it's a pretty damn boring part of the progression and it becomes stale pretty quick (At least for me I don't know how others feel about it), I experienced this on another very well scripted x1 3.3.5 progressive server where the Ulduar tier got delayed for so long that half the server got bored and left pretty much.
PvP is also a mess with such low item level gear coupled with 3.3.5 talents and Naxxramas isn't a particular challenging or interesting raid so it's not so great if it lasts too long.
The next tier on the other hand though.... very different story, Ulduar is easily one of the best raids in any expansion and GL to the guilds out there trying to clear Ulduar 25 hard modes if it's scripted properly :p ... it's gonna be tough but very fun and rewarding at the same time.

  2. A possible implementation of PvP with this approach would be to have it subjected to a constant rotation: it would start in the season 5 and end at 8; when the last season ends, it would go back again through the first one, and so on. In a nutshell, you would have to force gear restrictions on players depending on the current season in Arenas, Battlegrounds, and Wintergrasp. This is not my idea, but I can not quote it in this forum.
This sounds like a nice idea for the Blackrock realm to bring some variation to it.

Regarding the progressive character of the Lordaeron realm I think that u expect a way too much.
The progression probably gonna work the same way like it always used to be and how it currently works on Frostwolf.
They release content and while the community plays the content the devs work on the next higher content and release it when the scripting is done.
Once everything is released Lordaeron will lose its progressive character and beside the lower rates the realm gonna be similiar to Deathwing and Ragnaros.
When Lordaeron is done and the scripts are ported over to Deathwing and Ragnaros then the Devs will continue to improve either Cata or MoP. My guess is that afterwards the focus gonna be MoP because Cata is too underpopulated.

Uh that's kinda not true.... Ulduar is almost ''done'' in their minds... Afaik OS/EOE and Naxx is gonna be worked on (is being tested).. So that would not be true really... Some of the raids are already scripted and some are being scripted at the moment.... So hopefully we won't have to wait a long time for the content to be fixed but it depends how fast we kill the bosses (as well as when they decide to release it). I wish not cause Frostwolf is horrible at the moment hahahah! Well everything released on Lord is like A LOOOOONG TIME till that so you cannot simply say that haha! Lord will already have a established population at that point so it won't matter :) Will prob take a while till the other wotlk realms to get the scripts soo.... It will prob be MOP since i heard it's Lord > MOP > Cata at least from what i saw (i think)
