As someone who never really played WoW until many expansions have come and gone, it would be nice to get months extra on both vanilla and burning crusade.
It'll probably take me more than a month to hit 60, but I don't see any reason to hold back the rest of the realm if they're in a position to move forward into Outland. It's not as if they're going to be sinking significant resources into Vanilla endgame or events, and any raid progression in Vanilla will be made irrelevant by TBC content.
I'd def like to see this happen, but I do agree that I'd rather see this happen on BC than vanilla if I could only choose one.
But /sign 'cause yeah
I'm saying no one will be 60 by the 27th-28th like they think. RDF is disabled. You gotta walk to all dungeons.
I do my professions as I level rather than after so I guess it takes me longer to lvl but id bet money it'll be a week before we see a server first 60
Actually atleast 100 people are gonna hit 60 Before sunday ;)
I gotta backup T1LL here - While it's gonna be a lot harder to just spam-RDF and blaze through content, there's still gonna be people marathonning and powerleveling like mad, and they're gonna take a week, tops, to hit 60.
What a terrible idea. If I wanted to play Vanilla content again I would just log my tank on NB with those lackluster stats and spells.
It's not like there will be a massive difference once TBC released.
Player spells will be same.
PVE content's difficulty will be same (except if there were bugs affecting this).
It's just people being able to go higher level , use items and professions from TBC.
But nobody will force anybody to not be a 60 twink (and limit yourself to only 60 proffessions / items).
So you'll always be able to do it, but with people who truly want to do it. Not with majority of people who just want to get a head start for next release / people with no other options etc.
Hell no.
In fact, i'd sign a petition to HALF the time between vanilla and TBC.
If I wanted to 'enjoy' Vanilla content i'd go play on another server.
The two month wait for wrath is already too long as it is.
I already play actively on a vanilla private realm and I'm rolling here to experience WOTLK content so voting for an extra month of being stuck in vanilla would probably be the most back-asswards thing for me to vote. Sorry. I imagine similar situations extend to other players (in terms of rolling here primarily to experience Wrath specifically).
Furthermore, is any of the raid content in BC even scripted? Hell...even the vanilla content? There's almost no reason to sit on our hands in those expansions when I imagine the bulk of the development teams effort that we're meant to experience is going to Wrath content.
Even further-furthermore, even at x1 rates and zero heirlooms, the leveling experience in Wrath was highly expedited compared to the actual vanilla retail leveling style. Leveling from 1-60 in Wrath is easy as pie compared. People will be 60 very quickly (I've recently done the vanilla leveling thing twice on both Nost and Kronos so I welcome it).

I also hope they extend it. I am very patient and have waited for Lordaeron to be brought back ever since it died, however, like many other things in my life, even if I was patient enough to wait, it will happen at the exact same time as some other, more important thing in my life ( a.k.a university ) and I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I wanted to ( if at all ) despite all the patience. However, if it is extended another month, I will be able to take my time and level to 60 just in time. Well, I doubt they will do it at this point, but a man can hope. My other option is not to play at all as I risk falling behind in university.
