1. What will the 'in good standing' thing become if you`ve got banned in the past?
I mean, I`ve seen the 'in good standing' (not banned), 'suspended' (temporary ban) and 'banned' (permanent ban) statuses for the account standing, so I assume there`s another one for being (temporarily) banned at some point?

  2. What about same achievements on different servers ? Will buying flying mount on wotlk and on cata count as 2 quests or just 1 ?

  3. What about same achievements on different servers ? Will buying flying mount on wotlk and on cata count as 2 quests or just 1 ?
It just counts as one buddy. Basically the name of the achievement decides whether or not its unique. If i level up to 10 on wotlk and 10 on cata i still only get one achievement for reaching level 10. Same goes for equipping a tabard on wotlk vs cataclysm

  4. Aight so im Legate i get +1.2 ,+0.7 for having 6820 achiev pts +0.5 for having an acc in good standing +the daily 1 so i get 3.4 per day or lel?

  5. Moulis,
    1. There is no more daily 1 point.
    2. if you have a good standing you get .5
3.a if you have over 5000 points you get .7
3.b if you have over 9000 points (dbz ref) you still only get the .7
    4. total can only be at most 1.2
Being Legate does not grant you 1.2 points, you earn 1.2 points based on the equation:
    achievements + standing <= 1.2
if you earn 1.2 then you are labeled as a legate

  6. The logic is simple.

You have to interact with the game to get achievement points.

If we switched to a played time system, you could simply login -> afkbot and increase your rank, no thank you.

You can earn all the way up to 1.2.

Good standing (not banned in the past) yields you with +0.5

You only need 5,000 achievement points from unique achievements across all your characters on all expansions to get +0.7 which means you're earning the highest possible amount of points daily, (12 before squish, 1.2 after).

If you happen to get banned at any point, you instantly forfeit the +0.5, meaning you need 8,000 achievement points to get 1 point per day, you can never reach 1.2 per day.

    points > 8000 = +1
    points > 7000 = +0.9
    points > 6000 = +0.8
    points > 5000 = +0.7
    points > 4000 = +0.6
    points > 3000 = +0.5
    points > 2000 = +0.4
    points > 1000 or 1000 = +0.3
points < 1000 = 0 total, good standing is not factored in here either, meaning you have to atleast play the game to begin gaining points.

Points are now a valuable entity, activity rank criteria and point increments are subject to change if we decide to include more things to factor into the amount calculation.
Aha, oh no. Playing on Lordaeron, so that's going to take me forever to get all of these xD

  7. Ok, but regardless of being formerly banned, my achievement points on one account are greater than the other. I thought a ban just decreased points, not decreased activity rank.

Edit: Reading what Charmanda said made me understand. I thought the .5 from (good standing) was just a bonus to the overall points, not that points earned = rank. Which makes sense for the one time our whole raid got banned because we had someone Smeld -> ress in a boss fight.

so this system just hurts pvp players even more, since pve players have more achievements to be had. thx

  10. so this system just hurts pvp players even more, since pve players have more achievements to be had. thx
No, this system rewards full World of Warcraft players.

yea like u have sooooo much pve achis to do on mop. its the same for everyone. i as a pve player have a large amout of pvp achis. tbh its harder for pve.ers to get pvp achis than other way around.

the population in Neltharion is bigger and the only difference is the PvE content. - arbiterone
    ya neltharion is 90% pve

but i guess the point system is balanced, pvp here gets the tournaments and best titles in the game .

i'm been playing here for 4 years i'm rly not going to start playing pve more just because of a point system

  13. Have you guys considered tying it to total EoF + EoT earned and total honor/HK's farmed during a particular day. Players who play more tend to spend more of their time farming those, instead of Hunting achievements, so I personally think it'd be a better way to award activity points. Not to mention that it'd give max-geared people an incentive to run older content (which will be especially more relevant when Lord scripts for Naxx/Ulduar get ported over to the other realms), and for people to PVP more.
This. This is a more intelligent approach to meassure activity level.

  14. No, this system rewards full World of Warcraft players.
Read again. That's his point. For non "full" (sigh) players (just pvp, no pve). This system is unfair (obvious why). I think you meant: "YES, this system rewards full World of Warcraft players."
