Because people could just save up all honor and buy PvP Gear when they fresh ding to 70
Anyways I hope people can buy S2 max. So people rather Raid or at least need to put a little bit time and dedication for their gear in BC phase. Vanilla phase was just stupid the gear we got made besides a few offpieces and trinkets raiding useless.
Probably gonna replace the Gear with level 67/68 thats beyond stupid.

I know that there are people that are planning on buying honor stuff before tbc releases, and then refund them after the honor wipe. What will be done about that?

Hm, interesting. I didn't even consider this possibility. The only countermeasure I can think of is the actual TBC release time is not known at the moment. The timer for these things only lasts 2 hrs before they become nonrefundable if I recall correctly. So players who want to do this will need to keep selling/buying to keep timer up.
At the end of the day, I don't think it's the end of the world if someone gets their hands on 75k honor immediately out of the gate in TBC. I mean, they still have to level to 70 before they can even use it anyway.
