Yes because typing LFM or LFG in global chat means the realm will now be more social, because groups formed via global chat will always mean everyone talks and adds one another as friends.
for me nothing has changed besides that group forming takes longer, i spam until i get invited then i quest until group is full and after dungeon is done i leave. during the whole process i have not spoken a single word with my group.
the only bad thing really is that there is no real alternative to efficiently form groups, its all just some nuisance that others kling to and call it "hardcore" where in truth its just some random stupid ****.
if rdf is so bad why not implement rdf like it was before 3.3 the seemingly "good" rdf where you could check some boxes add a note and ppl could msg you or add you from the get go.
i bet 99% of those "no rdf bcus we so hardcore" crybabies dont even know times in wow before the release of the rdf.
I suggest auto delete on all threads about RDF. Just so much useless spam & people crying for nothing. Get rid of it.
Yeh nothing did change, i've done heaps of Dungeons via Global where we don't talk so yeh you can't bring in the whole " oh it makes the realm more social "
I personally would like to have a Group Finder not a RDF, that auto puts you together as a group, but you have to do the rest, you need to get to the stone and summon, ride through the lands & packs of the other faction to summon.
A group finder also frees up the spam from Global chat.
So after doing a hardcore dungeon, no one ever invited everyone to stay to do another dungeon? Then you probably suck and they wanted to get rid of you.
no not really.
1. its called heroic dungeon not hardcore.
2. i said i never talk not that others dont.
3. i didnt even wait for them to ask or anything. i just hearthstone and leave. and even if they talk and ask if someone wants to do one more i stil left them because its either the same or one of the other 5 that seemingly are done exclusively and im not much for repeating the same *** dungeons over and over again.

Thanks everyone for replies :D, im glad some of you like the joke. The most fun part is people who saw kaer respond, immediately started posting QQ threads xD so fun to watch.
There's a lot of strange arguments being made here, defending RDF being off. To state that if you don't like it, don't play here is just a strawman argument. I'm an avid NFL fan: just because I complain about a rule and wish it were abolished doesn't mean I should just watch another sport. We have the right to criticize or disagree with the developer's decisions. Whether they listen to feedback and make changes is going to be up to them. That's not to say RDF being on or off is a clear-cut right or wrong, but if they find that maybe they made the wrong choice, I'm pretty confident they would be willing to admit as much and make the change when the time is right.
People stating that RDF discourages people being friendly and talking? Sorry, I don't see my groups chatting much at all. If coordinating "Ok, who is going to the summoning stone?" is your idea of chatter, then I guess we can disagree on what worthwhile conversation entails. As long as RDF is only pulling from this server's playerbase, it's not going to change the overall amount of communication. You'll still see those players in the major cities later.
As far as drawbacks, I see two, really. One, it eliminates a large amount of world PVP. Whether specific people want to PVP or not, that's a feature the realm wanted to encourage. I think this is the only world interaction that takes a hit however, as people would still be in the world for tradeskilling. Also, the quality of world PVP it would eliminate is arguable: it would eliminate ganking, and even the PVP that occurs now is often one person getting killed of the five in group, while the other four just run into the dungeon. It's not quality PVP.
The second drawback would be that you would be unable to avoid grouping with specific people. I'm not sure that this is a big deal, however.
As far as people joining a group and then dropping it because it's easier to re-join the queue: it's a valid point but as long as the desertion debuff is active, I don't see how many people would disband the entire group instead of just joining the queue and getting a replacement. A rare instance of that occurring to you on another private server with low population issues isn't a reflection of reality. We all played in WOTLK and the DPS queues were no different and RDF never had a widespread problem with entire groups disbanding after one person dropped.
So yeah, other than the people who enjoy traveling ad nauseum to the same dungeons over and over again, I don't really see what's wrong with being more efficient.
so far on all servers with rdf i ever played i 've never seen ppl relying ENTIRELY on rdf to lvl, it's always mixed with questing
world pvp is utter garbage, it's unbalanced, pointless and rewardless, considering there are other better alternatives for pvp like bgs there's no other reason for killing someone other than for "fun" aka being a dick and making ppl lose time, then on top of that add the class imbalances at low lvl, just today i read someone complaining about 70 hords killing low lvls in redridge for hours, world "pvp" in a nutshell
ppl can just make "premade" groups to avoid someone, like a ninja i guess, if they really care so much about a low lvl item
@ Subdued To make it simple, there hasn't been one real post about RDF which Warmane team might take into consideration. Every single post is basically "I want RDF, Enable it." Not to mention the sheer number of said Topic only make things worse. They might have considered enabling it, but after seeing all these "trash" topics, they probably lost the will to even consider it anymore.
I think someone stumbled on a great way to enable RDF in one of the threads: disable the gold/exp/loot reward bonuses for completing a dungeon. It'll discourage people from camping in cities since it's not as rewarding to just RDF over and over again.
Also, if you want to make the deserter buff more punishing too, then go for it. I'm not sure how much that would do but it would make people at least slightly less likely to drop out.
I wish they could find a way to make it so that you have to enter the dungeon physically from the world in order to queue for it but the programming for that would be impossible/not worthwhile.
Thing is, people who played for a long time in private servers and leveled tons of chars, already got tired from "no rdf" since in most servers didn't work it anyways. Personally me played wow like 70% without rdf and some 30% with half working in total. So for me such "NO RDF omg omg cool" makes opposite impression.
