1. Well, I mean this is supposed to be a Wrath of the Lich King server so I don't see the reason to keep tbc for a "few more weeks" if you could tell me why, that would be nice.

And in the end the argument of "if you don't like it, find a new server" isn't wrong, this server is free to play on.
The fact of the matter is still that WotLK will be released whether you like it or not, and making a forum post to complain about if won't change anything.
why ppl need to tell this everytime - if they extend its coz wotlk isnt rdy yet - why do u think they open PTR with wotlk gear? for the fun? for now lordaeron is like a huge PTR server to polish the server and try to make it as complete as much as they can be4 copying the core code to other realms.

I have no idea what this has to do with anything I said.

The reason is that they know what is best for the server and its population. They know a month more of BC would only be good for Lord, and totally not drive players away.

They have also been to the future, and came back to tell us how everything is bugged after the wrath launch. Just trust them man, they put their interests aside so the server can prosper.

Why should I trust them? I was personally told by 2 admins that woltk content will be close to perfect and that I'll enjoy it. Stepping into the ptr my hopes for the server were crushed by a wrecking ball. Now I know this is a ptr but the amount of bugs and stuff that needs tweaked is quite a lot, like over 2 pages of things we wrote down that needs tuned, or just plain fixed because its absent.

Truer words could have never been spoken. Anticipated release of Wrath is in 8 days and the amount of bugs in the early wrath content that we observed from the ptr is way too high. 8 days to fix all of it I REALLY doubt it. I hope they make the right decision and fix everything first, even if it means extending tbc for even a month.

  6. Personally, I wouldn't care if they extended TBC past Dec 10 to fix more bugs in Wrath.
If they release somewhat working BT/SWP and make at least season 2 gear purchasable with honor, maybe add call to arms, that should keep a lot of people busy for awhile.
I don't get why people would cry and want to rush the release... What's your hurry? If you're bored with playing the game as it is now, just go do something else for awhile until they fix WotLK.
I'd much rather wait months and just not play instead of playing a bugged game.

If a few bugs are an issue for you, go take break and they'll be fixed duh.

Yeah.... after you've lost a raid tier to it.
It makes much more sense to force everyone to wait and then it's started fresh.
If overall content is ready for release and there are just some big raid bugs, I like the idea someone had of opening everything except bugged content.

Look, I really don't have any clue what the state of the PTR is because I haven't played on it, so I can't make accurate judgments myself yet.
I'm only going off of what I'm reading here from the guilds that are testing it. Honestly some of what I'm seeing on bugtracker doesn't even look that bad (once again, I'm clueless though). Maybe stuff will keep getting fixed and by the time the 10th rolls around, it will be acceptable.

....force entire server to wait.... based off speculations....

Some people achiev hunt, some play solo, some pvp, some quest, some rep grind, some help friends, some play casually. F all these thousands of people, cause you only care about instanced PvE, and a rare bug that MIGHT occur on a boss in unpopular raid #3.

So selfless. God forbid you miss a raid tier. They should close all raids for the first month of wrath, problem solved.

That's exactly why I said that this is a good idea.

Open up all the rest of that stuff that people like to do if it works, but keep bugged content closed. Delay arena season start or something if there are still major class bugs.
It's not entirely speculations, I'm simply reading the reports these guilds are writing about the raids and some of it sounds pretty severe. All I'm trying to say is that the staff/devs shouldn't feel pressured to release anything if it isn't ready.
People came here to play WotLK and there's only 1 chance to get it right.

I would like to suggest a very good reason why. You obviously have not raided on the PTR yet. Some boss's are totally bugged, for example thadius charge's do dmg to people that are the same charge, aka the boss is not killable. Also sarth is not killable, spawning some crazy fire torando ****storm all over the raid as soon as you start the enounter. It wouldn't be killable with full icc heroic gear let alone the gear we will have when trying to kill it first try. After only doing 4 boss's on the ptr these are the things i have encountered, god knows what other problems there are, along with arena being bugged (falling through map on blink and charge etc) and also some broken scaling in pve. it is far from Ok to release Wotlk anywhere near to it's current state on the ptr. Please do not **** this server up by releasing a piece of **** wotlk expansion because you feel pressured to do so. If it's released anything close to it's current ptr state on the 10th, i'm gone... along with a whole lot of other dedicated players, and you're server will be left with the... well left with the people that flood forum posts like these saying they're 'bored of tbc trolol, we want wotlk, go play another server scrub'. These people probably spend more time on the forums complaining than playing the game.

Well they are speculating about wotlk launch, everyone knows the TEST realm is far far from perfect.

I think you found the perfect solution. If people demand flawless raid content, they can be patient and wait for it, while not ruining the game for thousands.

Well considering the test realm is gonna be the live realm in a week that kind of makes people worried (if the estimate is gonna be the release date) ... I mean sure some of it can be hotfixed and stuff like that but it seems that it's a lot of work left for it to be release ready... The best option right now would be to extend the release date and release BT/SWP so we at least have some weeks to farm TBC gear and prepare for wotlk with some of the BIS gear of TBC :).. I highly suggest reading Warg text, Plush.

The best solution for the server as a whole has been posted. Lock raids for a month, rather than lock thousands to 3.3.5 TBC for a month.

Makes perfect sense for the well being of the server and its diverse players.

it's not just raids mate. It's game mechanics, class spells, dungeons, and class balancing.
