1. But I thought annoying and obnoxious = hardcore?
That's what everyone keeps saying about not having a lfg tool, this is the ultimate hardcore by that definition.
No it's not... Hardcore means that it's gonna be a challange to do the raid content... Not the quest contnet... Waiting a long time for a quest item isn't ''hardcore'' it's stupid, that's why it should be increased... You cannot bring RDF tool into this... RDF //////// Questing spawn rates...

  2. This **** should respawn instantly.
quests like http://www.wowhead.com/quest=11603/in-wine-truth unlock long quest chains, so it's kinda important...

I just timed a quest item respawn at 5 minutes, only me and my friend there. So he looted it then I had to wait 5 minutes. I've had items timed at between 8-10 minutes too with just my friend and I there. It's not needed and makes you skip quests just not to waste time.

Quests with 3-4 items sometimes means it takes 20 minutes to do.

  5. The saronite arrows quest for DKs is ridiculous. I ran around for almost an hour for me and my buddy to complete it, and then the players keep come to kill the NPCs so the arrows seldom respawn. I tell you it's annoying af

What am i suppose to respond to that? I expected at least to be enable to quest in someway.. I feel most bad for DKS :P... Wow you are so extreme i'll worship you! :D

  7. "find something else to do", "log out", "suck it up"

Decrease quest item spawn timers? No sir, leave them as they are. If opposing faction is camping the spot, kill them and camp the spot yourselves and or do as the PvP players suggest to the PvE players, "find something else to do", "log out", "suck it up". Can't have it both ways, better yet where are the world PvP activists? Spawn timers are great opportunities world PvP right? Hmmm, seems like PvP isn't so great when trying to quest... LOL j/k

Just like when PvE players are trying to quest and their progression time is increased because of forced PvP, quest progression for ALL is increased because of spawn timers, sounds fair to me. You can't really want to blaze through quests with instant respawns when on the other hand there will still be players making it harder for others :)

On a more serious note, quest item spawn timers seem to be part of the game, intended "speed bumps" so players don't just blaze their way to end game and then whine about more content. If a spawn is taking too long I suggest skipping the quest if you can help it.

    :)

all these pro ganking people are ok when they can hinder other people's progress but when their progress gets hindered suddenly QQ, do something else while waiting for those "ganking" your quest items go away. dont like the way it is? you are not hardcore enough, play somewhere else, its called world of WARcraft... you fight over quest items

There's not much fun and/or skill involved when you and 5 others are staring at the screen for 6 minutes for an object to respawn.

Seriously did you even get the meaning of this thread? Get out of here will you? So much skill in waiting for quest objects... Not much to ask for HIGHER spawn rates then HURR DURR MORE PVP MAN!

Yeah you had the same drug as this guy above... MUCH HARDCORE MAN! FIGHT OVER 15 min QUEST RESPAWN!

  11. I agree Object respawn times should be tweaked a bit. There is a Box inside a Ship in Borean (Valliance Keep) and it has a 2min 30 sec cooldown, and you have at least 20 people waiting for it 24/7. Took me like 40 minutes to get it and nearly broke my mouse by spamming it. So yeah, this might be Hardcore realm, but 40 minutes for a single loot Quest is not worth, not one bit.

I'm leveling with one friend, so it's quite a pain until we both complete the same quest with object looting.

skill was never part of the subject, why, coz it takes so much skill to kill that poor fella who couldnt even see your level? killing lowbies doesnt take skill and so does looting quest items. the server is perfect the way it is... as stated by people who love world pvp and i agree, deal with it, you cant have your cake and eat it too

yes DK questing is just not gonna happen for some people :D on my opinion unless you want realm first will be better to wait like week or 2 before leveling a DK.

btw how is the exp from dungeon farming?

    ^ LOL ^

You know how it is, some players want it all.

    I smiled at this :)

    And? I didn't mentioned skill...

    Spoiler: Show
There are lots of things in-game that players can see as "not fun" or "involving skill" but they are part of the game, respawn timers happen to be one of those things that is part of the game and some players don't like. I'm assuming waiting for quest items to spawn with opposite faction around is fun for those that enjoy PvP because they can do so in hopes to secure the respawn. If there are only same faction players around I guess whoever is quicker on the draw will get it no? I myself have no problem with respawn rates, no matter if I have been waiting quite some time and someone comes up an snags it before me, once I figure out how long the respawn takes I know exactly when to come back to try again and in the meantime I'm doing other quests/objectives so that I'm not just standing there waiting. Seeing who gets it IS fun and requires skill to me :)

Same with you, I didn't mention skill...

    Spoiler: Show
I disagree, I feel it is quite a lot to ask to change respawn rates, why, because there are non-quest related things that increase character progression that are imposed on players that will still remain so there is balance there. It maters less if quest item respawns were instant/short when there are opposite faction players preventing someone from obtaining it. Deal with the respawn rates or skip the quest(s) if you can.

Changing quest item respawn rates in my opinion is a bad idea, even before some quests had "long" quest item respawn times and I don't recall seeing any threads about them but now all of a sudden it's a problem...
