Is Auction House abuse okay?

It's not illegal, they gotta put time into that, even if its automated through addons, they gotta keep an eye for the market price constantly...its their time.

Its like in real life, if some one makes money by selling/buying stocks are you going to complain that if he spends 14 hours/day and gets better results than some one who spends only 5?

They have more time, they dedicate more time in something that requires time to be profitable.

AH playing is a part of the meta game I enjoy more than any others. I love crafting, I love playing the AH. I use several addons just for the AH. I have an account that is comprised of nothing but bank alts for buying and selling. What you describe in your supermassive wall of text is perfectly legit. You have the same advantage that anyone else has if you go read about how to play the AH.

I would suggest scanning with auctioneer at least once a day (this works despite the claims of some who say it does not) so you learn how fluid the market is. I buy at a certain time, and sell at a certain time every single day. It just takes some time to learn how it works.

A few weeks ago I would have agreed with you, but now that I got the AddOns myself, I'm fine :) Just get the AddOns and enjoy the easy life! (Of course, I wouldn't mind the AddOns being disabled because then I'd know everybody has to go through the same work to keep track of auctions. For now, though, you should just accept that AddOns are mandatory for the AH.)

Thanks for the response guys, When making this post I was well aware of the capabilities of the Auction House addon and was raising the question, 1. should it be okay? 2. Is it okay for Timbot33 to use the addon through a bot? I've already reported Timbot33 twice in the past, as I've said this has been going on a very long time.

I have tons of screenshots were I manipulated his bot into doing illogical things but it's something you have to experience over a few days to be convinced. I first suspected Timbot33 to be a bot when I got it to post 15 items for 8 silver when the other items were selling for 15 gold. Because he was a bot told to focus on this item it didn't know better. He changed some addon options to avoid me doing this to it again. While I got Timbot33 to post on this item it was unable to post in any other items it was previously watching because the demand for the item I was tricking it on was too high. While Timbot33 has put in options to not go below a certain price I have already tested multiple times my theory of making him have to run out of the item.

I've watched Timbott33 for a very long time because he's been doing this almost the entire time Lordaerons been up. Every theory I got I tested to try and figure out his bots limitations so I could beat it. There were many many times I was able to outsmart it. The combination of Orange44 and Timbot33 is way too much for me too handle that I can't use the profession I've put time into to make gold.

I don't believe Orange44 to run in full bot like Timbot33 as my same theories didn't apply. I think Orange44 is different and may only run as a bot on high population times where he plans to be logged in for a long time. There is no way I can prove anyone is using a bot to abuse the amazing auction house addons. I can only tell you that I 100% believe Timbot33 does.

You guys were right that my wall of text was an eyesore and when I was writing it I didn't even realize how long it was. It was months and months of frustration and information that I wanted to share with everyone and it wasn't done properly. I've seen cheaters my entire time with molten/warmane. Every time they could be caught they just turn it off or the punishment isn't long enough, or worse even the punishment is overturned.

Trust me when I say that all of you who strained through my text didn't even come close to the environment created by these two fellows causing me trouble.
My post was triggered by Orange44s stalking of me to make sure I never am able to make it in the market. He took it to a new level and I'm fine losing, just not losing unfairly. Thanks for putting some time into my struggle and dealing with my monster of one paragraph.

which market is it? at least when I was selling glyphs on hordeside two other players fit your description. I stopped selling glyphs.
