1. I dream of the day that all you QQing ******s die in a tradgic blizzard while getting raped by wolves. Look at the ****ing front page and stop asking and assuming. Piss off ****ers.
lol way to get salty real quick there bud. front page says this "Logon is currently under DDoS, some users may experience problems connecting to the game."

well problems are persisting now for hours. no update, nothing. just the usual "we're being ddos'ed".

if it's such a big problem, would it take more than a min for a moderator to say, "i'm sorry guys but this is a bigger problem than we thought, apologies but maybe try again tomorrow." instead, we get nothing and we should happily accept that warmane is the best there ever was and ever will be. please.

If you had any technological background, you would clearly understand the situation. I applaud Warmane for their hard work and effort to update us and continue to fight against the ****ers who decide to get a kick out of DDOS'ing. Never once have I ever sat down and said to myself "Oh SOB, I hate warmane, all they do is sit around and get DDOSed with such little effort to inform us the situation." There isn't much you can do when it comes to DDOSing other than use what paid hardware/software you have to alleviate the effects.

If you really want to know what a good analogy for DDOS (Denial of Service) is, look no further:

"Pretend riot is a post office that needs to receive mail, process it, then distribute it. Imagine someone wants to sabotage them, for whatever reason, and does the following. Gathers a bunch of people to work for him or her (the equivalent of virus infected computers), and then mass sends mail to the post office. On the mail, they write someone else's address, so that the real perpetrator is untraceable. Now, if there is enough, this overflows Riot's capacity to receive mail and process it quickly enough, creating a huge backlog of mail, therefore slowing down the rate that Riot can get mail from the sender to the receiver. While Riot can spend money and get more workers to process mail, this is not a good solution, as the perpetrators can get more people (computers) as well. So, Riot is trying to work with others in order to improve the system so that this can't happen as easily in the future."

i have no official technological background, but yet, to your surprise, i do understand what a ddos attack is. point of the matter is this, warmane resorts to posting "we are being ddos'ed, o crap sorry" more often than any other private server. before you get on my case, i understand i don't own anything here, nor am i entitled to play. i get that. what i don't get is the lack of communication on their part. if you have a customer base of 20 something thousand (as they claim) then you should make the effort to provide some information.

edit: no where did i ever say "i hate warmane", so don't put words in my mouth, like you put cocks in yours. i like this server. i spend time on this server. and i god damn hope this server stays up for as long as possible. it is for these reasons that i would like a bit more communication from the staff as to WTF is happening and why. according to front page this is 3rd ddos attack in last 21 days, with probably more "unconfirmed".

but carry on with your asinine behavior, because that is really what the loyal warmane player is like?

So basically we as the people should be the kids in the car and ask, "Are we there yet?" countless times and Warmane should always have an answer for each time it is asked?

  6. anyway, back to the real issue at hand. currently i see the frontpage showing 2675 players on lordaeron, yet i still have the same problems as earlier. immediate error upon trying to log in. anyone else still in the same boat?

edit @ crum: dude, you're an ***** with your stupid metaphors that make little to no sense when talking about an online enterprise that makes money from it's large player base. it doesn't take much to post an update or to inform loyal fans as to WHY they are continuously being attacked by these malicious groups. perhaps they should hire you as their spokesman since you are in the know how.

Hmm, "Logon is currently under DDoS, some users may experience problems connecting to the game."

"some users may experience problems connecting to the game."

I think it's clear what they are stating. As for me, im in game with no problem. However, for some, they cannot connect. No promises are made here.

    Thank you captain obvious.

P.S. I will ask you, are you online yet? Come on dude, give me an update. I need to know if you are online yet. This is driving me crazy, i'm online and you're not? Give me some feedback, come on!

  13. Anyone able to explain if this is regional or if it is just random that players can log in? Would now be a good time for GMs to wander around major cities and .kick players that are AFK to ease log in issues?

Not entirely sure how it all works but being locked out for 3 hours while most of the other players i know are online kind of sucks.

  14. Anyone able to explain if this is regional or if it is just random that players can log in?
It might be. Me and my friend, both from Lithuania, have no issues on logging in whatsoever atm. Tried logging in and out, everything fine on our side.

  15. Found how to fix it, change it from .ru to .com as listed in another post.
