Playing where the skill matters.

Well i am not a decent player, but let's just say i'm a normal player who knows it's class. The only thing i don't really like about Lordaeron is the queues, my time is often limited and cannot manage to wait hours to log in. Plus that, i saw a friend of mine that is currently playing on Lordaeron and he said that 80% of the players are PvErs. He told me to not look at these 12,000 players online, because only 1000 are actually doing some PvP, so PvP is almost dead. But on the other side, i like this legendary weapons removal feature on Lordaeron, feels good. Leveling does not really bother me, and i don't care if it's 1x or 10x

I am still wondering which one to pick, but at the end i think it will be Icecrown, because it's more PvP related.

This friend of mine may be wrong, i will wait for more thoughts, feel free to share.

No people dueling in elwynn forest or orgimmar horde is like half team afk in every bg.

I agree, but i play mostly PvP. It seems Icecrown is the way to go.

1. Try 3s on Frostwolf, so you will not be mad anymore ( ye I know is hard to meet someone in que)
2. are you really thinking about Icecrown or Lordaeorn? if you are looking for "skill" go Blackrock, what are you waiting for?
3. if for some reason playing on Blakcorck is against your religion then go for Icecrown, as PvP player it is waste of time a x1 Realm, and always because of the x1 most of Lordaeron players are PvErs so...

The only fun i get while playing on Frostwolf is 5v5 Subwars or Timeless Isle, i was doing Dungeons, Raids, Ganking, 2s, Duels, i still manage to kill people in openers, but now i got bored from that too. I am not going to stop playing on MoP, i just want to play somewhere else too. I don't want to play on Blackrock, sometimes i do PvE, rarely but i do, and Blackrock is low populated right now. Mists of Pandaria is quite easy, everything is easy, gearing, playing, leveling, everything..

U should play on icecrown for pvp.
Lordaeron is mainly a pve realm and i assure u that the 2s and 3s ladder will be more active on icecrown than on Lordaeron.
When it comes to gearing a rog requires a lot of pve gear to be good in pvp so if u decide to play on lordaeron ull be forced to find a good pve guild for raiding and ull spend at least 50% of ur time with pve stuff.

Well, you can be devastating in PvP without PvE stuff right? More resilience and less damage, but you can still handle it. Icecrown is probably the place for me, it's more Blizz-like then Lordaeron is right now, and i will do both PvP & PvE.

If you really want a challenge then dont play a rogue.

This can never happen, it's my main class and i love it, it's always fun being a rogue. By the way, what's the current state of Rogues? Are they worth playing?

Just saw a rogue killing a dk only in the opener. All that duel lasted 10 sec. Thats about it. a duel doesnt last more than 20-30 sec average.
So fast paced. Can't call this any skill. Its more like gear -> skill. These 2 guys we're same geared anyway but yeah. Nostalgia , and bias.

So the skill here isnt , tracking the enemy CD's , avoid bursts, kite, mobility, etc. Its just about reacting to stupid amounts of damage since 1 spell can take 70% of ur HP.

Want the easy way? Go Icecrown. You can buy all gear from the store and get epics fast from pug raids. However, so can everybody else. This also means that you can see a lot of people with legendary weapons and if you can't afford to spend some money, you might be heavily outgeared by others.

Want the hardcore way? Go Lordaeron. Raids are buffed, not everyone gets top PvE gear. Gearing will be harder, but it will also be harder for others. Money will make no difference when gearing. I dislike servers with pay to win elements, which is why I personally prefer lordaeron.

Lordaerons biggest downside is the long queue times, which can be skipped with a donation and spending 5 coins (that's right only 5 coins) on a character on Lordaeron. 5coins spend on an item and you get 30 days of queue skip as a bonus.

Wotlk was amazingly good compared to other expansions pvp wise. PvP is never perfectly balanced and every class/team has its counters, but wotlk had the best balance if you ask me. Whichever server you choose, have fun.

I'm death knight,no rogue wins me in 10 20 or 30 second rofl?
30 second duel average? Dude do you even try to participate or to watch 1v1 events on warmane stream? To see how skilled players fight there for minutes even to 15-20 mins a duel(seriously i had 17mins fight vs a ret pala on blackrock in the final of the event)

Tell me please the spell that takes 70% of your hp,i play pvp alot,never saw a such thing.

M8 go play your panda wow,seriously you have no clue about what are you talking,watching some beginners fighting and ending in 30 seconds the duel,and then judging THE WHOLE expansion based on that duel.

Stay on panda man xD,mist is far more balanced look at arenas healers never get omm,fight every match for 45 minutes acquire no life status ;D

Well not really,a player who goes full pvp items vs a guy who has a nice combination of best pvp gears and best pve items(gloreng,sm,heroics 284),the one who uses pve and pvp wins,except in some situations like warr or rogue vs dk,dk will go full resil so he wins rogue easy,vs some classes you must go full defensive.

Well, WotLK is not perfect, but it's still a lot better then MoP. I play Mists of Pandaria as well, as a Rogue, when subtlety, i can kill in the opener if everything is done perfect, if i make one mistake, i die or wait for full cds, when Combat, wait till red buff appears (Deep Insight) and KS, too predictable, and when KS fails you just loose. MoP's pvp is way more unbalanced, as a rogue you have to setup everything perfectly. Almost every noob warrior is above 1700 rating, play warrior pick disc priest and gg. If MoP was "good" expansion, blizzard shouldn't have lost so many subscribers.

Icecrown is more blizzlike then Lordaeron, easier, but that does not matter to me i just want PvP. I have never ever donated for a video game, yet. Are you saying that the only way to get those Legendary weapons and these epics, is in the shop? Are they available in-game? If they are, i will slowly get them.
