Completely new to WOTLK, what classes is good in pve?

Hi im completely new to WOTLK (have been playing on warmanes cata server Neltharion) and I was woundering what classes and specs are good for pve here on wotlk? I don't like tanking so that is not an option for me. So im more kind of intressted in what healing specs and dps specs are the best atm. I was most thinking about leveling a warrior, mage (if im choosing mage im only going to play fire) or shaman (prefer resto or elemental). Are they any good or should I maybe pick another class?

I'm only interested in PvE and now wanna try WoTLK. Why should I go Lordareon? Is it scripted better? More pve guilds? More content? Or what?

Why Icecrown is not good choice?

Icecrown is a good choice if you want to level faster and get some free gear via the point shop ( which can take some time depending on how many achievement points you have ) .

Lordaeron on the other hand is the hardcore realm where you level up at the lowest rate possible ( x 1 exp rate vs Icecrown's x 7 ) , you gain x 1 gold / reputation etc and the raid bosses are buffed by a lot .

So at the end of the day you'll have to chose the realm which suits you the most : casual vs hardcore / icecrown vs lordaeron .

I just would like to add that Icecrown has its content all released and Lordearon doesn't. If you prefer progressive style then go Lordaeron server. However here in Icecrown you will need above 5k gs to fit in raids, and sometimes in simple rhc even. Why? I have no idea, I couldn't care less about PvE. Maybe it's PvEers' law
