1. Something "official" that doesn't has to be followed isn't official.
It's not official, but many people using it makes it reliable. All currency exchange rate websites have exactly the same or similar guided currency exchange rates. You said "Google isn't the official source of exchange rates", I was only correcting on that.
Scrolled up read again, I apologize for semantics. Didn't read your first reply because it said "like" too much. I know you were being sarcastic but everytime I see someone using "like, like, like" I just stop reading.
And feelsbadman for OP. I don't know what he did but may he rest in peace from Forum for awhile.
Reliable is one thing, the guy using Google as "proof" is a very different one. The fact the exchange rate didn't match what Google said at most means the exchange rate being used wasn't Google's, which is fine, not a crime.
His ban was issued by another Moderator and isn't related to this thread.
