1. It baffles me why people aren't playing MoP instead.
ugly asian theming and panda's keep quite a few of us away from it. that and wotlk is more polished.

  2. It's called counter-play you 2200 rat. Yeah like I said there were problems caused by the PvE gear mostly in mid to late season 8, but I'll take that over a game where there may not be PvE gear in arenas but it doesn't matter because there's no room for variance in player skill level anyways.
    Who's 2.2k? You?

The PvP in Wotlk is based around 4 dps classes: Warrior, Warlock and DK and shaman
AFAIK the balance in wotlk was good up until Smourne was introduced into the game.

That's true but in all honesty the PvP in MoP was really balanced compared to Wrath.

  3. I started playing WoW during the end of MoP. Before I hit 90 (about 82 I believe) WoD came out and my friend bought it for me and another friend of ours and we grinded WoD everyday. I ofcourse went back and did the raids of TBC+ and compared to WoD it was just chaotic. The rolls were cancerous compared to the looting system I got used to in WoD. I'm just wondering why majority of private servers are WOTLK and the most popular. What makes it so much better than the other expansions? I personally just came here for MoP because I wanted to try out the Raids and get some nostalgiaa and maybe some PvP.
I started WoW in Vanilla Beta back before Wrath was even an idea. The game progressed and so did the game play. Customizibility was the name of the game with Wrath. It gave rise to the Blood/Frost hybrid tank, the RetTank, an effective Healidin (Not that a healing paladin was bad previously but Wrath made it work well). It made Rogues a more balanced threat (Though I stopped my rogue when ICC Came out).

The story arc was a continuation of one that we had been building up to through all the Warcraft titles.

I played Retail until MOP hit. Cataclysm had dumbed the game down alot. MOP made it worse. Gone were the days of building a talent to maximize damage the way you wanted. It was replaced with cookie cutter specs and highlights around buttons for those who couldnt figure out how to play.

I recently went back to try WOD and was still hugely disappointed.

I play the Wrath realms here for the sense of the game at its heght of power.... Though if Warmane ever did just a Vanilla only realm, id likely spend all my time there reliving the glory days of WoW in its infancy.

  4. I have also played all expansions (Cata and MoP, very little) and I can say that WOD is pretty much the best, I think even better than legion.

I agree, WotLK lore is the best, but in the end, you will get bored of the same things again and again. People need something new, and WOD is not a failure, trust me. It is not MOP and it is not Cata.
