The reason for playing on Outland is because I missed a lot in the TBC era, so I can't really comment on it. Regardless Wotlk was the favourite for me, because I wanted to raid back then, but there were to many hardcore guild, so I almost gave up. But when the trials instances was released, I had to opportunity to gear up, join a guild and fight the Lich King. It made me happy.

Personally am doing TBC. Mainly just to have weapon specialization procs and engineering again in PVP (Arena)... I just think that sounds like fun and I can get a couple of kicks outta Outland. I didn't do Wotlk, because I literally beat WoTlk... there is no point for me to hop on it.

you dont have engineering in arena

Never got to experience TBC from a progressive standpoint, hence I will enjoy it the most, I've burned through Wotlk multiple times though and I enjoy it, but becomes boring after a while.

tried TBC, got war to 70, noticed how atrocious gameplay was, both pvp and pve. Installed WotLK first time in 2 years. Prot war is the **** very engaging gameplay FeelsGoodMan

    WOTLK > tbc

How can ppl prefer TBC? An expansion where u can't have a 2spec, u can't use the RDF system and u have to walk into istances by walking, the entire expansion is farm rep based, the bg are boring af and pvp is also boring. WOTLK have best raid, best pvp , best features and definitely is the best expansion till now IMHO.

Classes of different roles are much better balanced in wotlk and theres also dual spec

Tbc is asssum,i played it on retail to end,its just expansion thats not taken lightly. And despite things not being perfect, some thigns are 100x better then legion/mop/cata.

And portals mean something, summons mean something, world pvp is ALIVE completely.Quest take alot of grouping up,dungeons arent that easy ,much harder with wotlk equivalelnt.

Wrath was the pinnacle of the game.

Hard to tell. I play WoW since Vanilla, and played all except Cata (just 1 week and I quit).

Personally, even though I'm not nostalgic about Vanilla, I like TBC in that part that you had many things to do in the Old World still, and that the Outland stories are bound to the Warcraft 3, but WotLK had that also concerning Frozen Throne.

WotLK upgrades that I like most are of technical nature, like 1.5 second mounting up and collecting materials instead of 3 seconds, cheaper and easier accessibility to mounts, flying especially. Achievements sometimes I like (around 10k always) but sometimes they take my time away from game and socializing so I sometimes hate them. Northrend world is nice, but I don't necessarily like it that much, I find it more uniformed than Outland, and all is revolving about Lich King in the final instance.

In TBC you had many raids that meant a lot, and also meant a lot until the very end (I think T4 warlock set - Kara and Gruul gear for example, even trinkets from Gruul and Zul Aman, etc., were valuable up until very last stages of the game). Also TBC had cooler sets, although it's random gear was..shiny and funny. Draenei and Blood Elves introduced new world completely, not just mechanically, but lore wise, and Death Knight class didn't do that for me really in WotLK that I find it super exciting.

I liked the fact that some professions meant something in TBC, like some potions which drop only from certain mobs and you had to find team to farm them, not just buy them in Dalaran or big % drop in random ****ty dungeon (Karazhan potion of destruction I think, and many others).

So overall what I like more about TBC that it was more rough, and still kept a lot of mysticism that I require from a game of this type (creature that looks like Old God in Shadowmoon valley, Garrosh Hellscream will "walk the earth", Teron Gorefiend, Lady Vashj and Kaelthas, moment when you see goddamn Maiev in the dungeon - that feeling, oh!, etc.) and WotLK sometimes reveals too much (I didn't wanna meet Ursoc ingame and especially kill him, I wanted him to remain mystical figure forever, like full Timbermaw hold which we see only a tunnel, not what is behind that big gates), and stuff like that.

Also, in TBC you are more a pawn in the game, and in WotLK as if you can to a point push the hand of fate, as Illidan once said. Sometimes I like more the former, other times the latter.

I play each of them them long equally so I like them both, but yes, I feel a bit more nostalgic about TBC, but I also recognize WotLK advances. So, for now, no final judgement. They are like people, you can love equally more of them, in same or different ways or for same or different reasons.

    Good things about WOTLK:

    - It made a good thing with the talents. They were more diverse, added more fun rotations and made viable almost all specs while still retaining most of the flavour for each race/spec. And dual spec, as it was originally intended ( 1.000 gold, only +30lvl and only 2 options ) was a very good thing.

    - Ulduar is definetly the top of the raiding scene in every aspect, from there everything feels like a downgrade.

But, for EVERYTHING else, TBC for the ultimate, definitive and absolute WIN

Also, I cannot forgive the wotlk for bearing the seed of the cancer that finally twisted retail wow in th living rotten corpse wich is today: The dammned 3.2 Patch. LFD, Difficulty modes for raids (lol this is QUAKE?), Full tier for running heroics... The beginning of the end.

According to wotlk QoL changes people constantly ask for TBC, there are not so much WIN except "omagad old feelingz".

Worse addons to use, worse mechanic (20 yaards nameplates ex.), outdated graphics, much time consuming (in 2017 its a con), dead/useless talent builds and so on.

Agree to the above, TBC still has that 'world' feeling leftover from vanilla.

During WOTLK game stopped taking itself seriously.
