1. Check your server. You have over 100 5's teams currently. That is way more then any server has accomplished. By not awarding the people who enjoy playing 5s and are good at it you are further killing the 5s bracket even more.

    None of your decisions have aided people into wanting to play arena they have only discouraged. Anyone that's a serious arena player can see that girinding away at 3's is really the only thing you should be doing since its the only thing that gives the awards that arena players strive for. You immediately eliminated half of the classes out of the two's bracket with and probably 1/3rd of the classes out of the 3s bracket and you have in essence killed any reason to do 5s other then points.
    Honestly, some of those teams in the 5s bracket might've been some of the people that got banned for wintrading last couple days.. I dont want to throw any accusations tho lol.. ^^

  3. I have previous made some similar suggestions. It all depends on what you're aiming for.
    - Do you want 3s to be active and competitive
    - Do you want comp diversity
    - Do you want everyone to get a piece of the cake
    - Do you think only rewarding the highest teams will stirr upt he competition or make others just not try at all

    Personally, I think 3s activity and comp diversity need to be looked at separately. For 3s activity, it is easy enough to lower rating requirements for weapons/shoulders for 3s, putting them just in the range that "everyone" can reach.

    For comp diversity, you need to encourage people to not only play FOTM. If they don't do that, suddenly a lot more comps become viable because they don't only face LD/RD/DPR/HD etc. Or WLD/RMP/some melee cleave or double healer.

    When you reward titles to the HIGHEST team of each composition above 2.2k, 2k, 1.8k, you'll see a lot more people actually playing what they want to play, rather than feeling FORCED into something they don't quite enough because it is more viable. Suddenly, not every hunter will be playing BM/Druid, because the chances of getting highest BM/Druid in 2s as opposed to say, highest SV/Pala or SV/Disc are actually much lower. You inevidbly force comp diversity on people, but checking ladder for titles will be a whole lot more manual labor that someone needs to be willing to do.

    Tried this on Nextgen towards the end, had the following teams qualify for title amongst FOTM comps:
    - War/Rogue
    - Ret/Sham
    - Lock/Pala
    - Rogue/Sham

    i really like the experience on this server so far and how you guys handle everything but the mentioned title rewarding system which currently seems to be your official one is just terrible

  4. Lets not forget Molten was always focused on Wotlk Servers, so it is not hard to see this here. Putting 3v3 ahead of 2v2 on TBC and removing 5s rewards at all with that high populated server is complete non-sense.

    I mean "we think its best" is valid opinion when you manage your own server, but it is still not any close to an arguement. Not to mention that gladiator title without gladiator mount never existed in world of warcraft and you cannot ever find an arguement for it being good, since there is no single player on your realm that benefits from it.

    You made a great server, but so far the PvP is disaster. S1 was supposed to be started around the end of this week, but you release d it when people had no PVP trinkets and most players (like me, being more active than avg player) were not even lvl 70. Now like it is not enough that we started way behind with the gear, but the season will last 3 months, so I will never have the chance to catch on gear, because i Lvld one week later?

    Not to mention the impact of karazhan gear in PvP because of your misstiming of PvE/PvP + nerfed pve content.


    Last but not least - saying you will probably wipe arena points after season end - it is not blizzlike to wipe them, nor it makes sense with 3 months season, coz nobody will really have 5k not to spend, but people who will keep arena points have really saved them since nearly nobody will be full s1(if any).

    I agree with Warmane that blizzlike title/glad drakes system is flawed, but I think the change they are making only makes it worse. The problem I have with the blizzlike system is that it rewards players that play cookie cutter comps with OP classes by giving the rewards to the top 0.5% of teams instead of the top 0.5% of class. With Warmane's system I would be shocked if the rank 1 3s team (the only team rewarded with a glad mount) isn't Rogue/Mage/Priest, I even think it is likely that the top 3 teams will all be Rogue/Mage/Priest. I would love if it was done by class and in my dream world it would be from combining the ratings from all 3 brackets (like OP suggested), even if it was only the rank 1 player for each class that got the drake. I believe that this would encourage players to play every bracket and it would allow them to play the class they want without being denied a chance of getting gladiator/gladiator drake. I think most players would agree that arena is more fun when there is more comp and class diversity.

    In TBC, 5v5 is the most balanced bracket for all classes because there are multiple class combinations that allow for more balanced game-play; as opposed to the current state of Season One 2v2 and 3v3 where paladins/shamans/some others are at a huge disadvantage. And because of the current high server population, I believe it would be completely reasonable to include a reward system for this bracket. Mercy claims, “5's is out of the question because there's usually no more than half a dozen active teams on any given realm at any given point in time.” but I don't think this would not be true on Outland especially if 5v5 teams were included in the calculation for Season One rewards, due to the population size.

    I don't really agree with class-based titles since I think it's common knowledge by now which comps fare better than others in different seasons simply because of class/gear available, (plus you can easily tell who is exceptional/good/decent/not so good with time) however when talking about 5s and even 3s and 2s, I think the following:

    1. If people actually are putting in time and effort to climb the zergfest that is 5s ladder, there should be some kind of reward.

    2. The title/mount distribution as it is now, as others have mentioned, looks really, really limited. Especially for a server of this size and potentially larger size.

    3. As someone else said it really doesn't make sense not giving mount to someone with glad title, whether or not it's r1.

    4. I won't suggest what ranges of rank deserve what in what bracket since I feel the staff should still ultimately decide, but I feel it should be considered the fact that, when people are playing at a competitive level, aside from comp/skill playing a role, there are more variables like rng, disconnect, dodge, etc that may influence the way end-season rankings look, and I'm sure many people with actual glad/top 5 experience playing here can attest to this. It's the reason why some people don't bother pushing for r1 specifically, especially if they are playing a comp that is subject to matchups where rng is probably a loss for them, or if they have seen the variation themselves. More realistically these people would instead aim for top 5 or somewhere close to that, because most of the time especially on a high population server or competitive BG it's not guaranteed that you will get r1.

    5. I get the exclusion of "challenger" esp. since if it were blizzlike a million people would be running around with it, and you want to have titles be representative of skill/effort/achievement combined- just my guess why it's not being included. This ties in to why I think the range for sub-glad titles should be slightly increased, because the same variation will most likely occur above 2.2k, or well below top 5 rating, and people shouldn't miss out on being rewarded for similar reasons.

    Still fun playing here, just making some small changes that reflect what actually happens end-season would make it that much better and provide a better incentive/goal for many people I'm sure

    This has completely non-sense. How are you going to give only the Drake to the rank 1 team on 3v and how is it possible that you are going to give only 1-3 gladiator titles? I thought that my experiencie on this server was going to be like when I played on retail and I made hundreds of arena matches and got gladiator title with multiple brackets and characters. If you are going to do this like that, I think I won't spend my time on focusing on arenas (that is my main reason to play WoW at the moment) and probably this will make me stop playing this server and even WoW.

    Please, think about it, In my opinion it has to be something nearly it was on retail years ago, 0,5% of the teams and gladiator mount to everyone that reaches gladiator title.

    If you are going to give only 1 drake and 1-3 titles I think this would be a disaster for all the PvP people that wanted to focus arenas on this server like they did on the past.

    Gladiator mounts for only the rank one team is such a Sh!t idea...

    will most likely quit playing here due to how illogical and clueless the mods / admins appear to be.

    i agree im not sure why it's only 1 team, and top 3, do it on percentage , it's stpuid to make these rules and upset ppl. why make the titles / rewards seem so hardcore, it just upsets people. it's just at title on a private server no need to make it seem like it's something that should be rare, it jsut pisses everyone but the top players off, atleast if it's percentage ppl actualyl feel like they can achieve it

    also for 5s should do same, .5 percentage, if there's no1 queing 5s that means only 1 team should get it. it's percentage based for a reason it'll always reflect how many ppl are playing, cant refute that logic

    It's because the WOTLK "arena junkies" "AT" devs of this server maybe don't know TBC arenas well enough I think. In TBC retail before AJ got popular and 3's fanboys came around 5's was the tournament bracket, don't believe me? Here is a article on SK-gaming from 10 years ago at the time:

    2345 comp ...Eurocomp....Triple Melee.....Triple healer Triple mana burn...... anybody?. It was by far considered the most skillful and competitive bracket at the time. Secondly 2's is actually good for the most part in TBC which has been stated multiple times by R1 players like reckful saying "tbc was the only time 2's was real ect ect" and I cannot agree with him enough. Devs please this isn't WOTLK even though you think it's basically the same, it's very much NOT.

    Last there's no reason not to do the normal 0.5% that makes it very rare.... 0.5% of teams get it, wait let me rephrase.... ZERO POINT FIVE FREAKING PERCENT
