You aren't actually "stuck" on "Authenticating".

It is, indeed, taking a long time to authenticate. It would seem there's some kind of an issue with the database that manages authentication. You will eventually be moved into the queue and be able to log in. Just go ahead and log in and come back in 5 or 10 minutes.
