1. If I understand correctly the only way we could hope for a small change is if I was spending my gaming time gathering evidence against each one of the AFKs and making reports against them all?
So let's say it takes 24 to 48h to have an answer from a request and we need to ban at least 25 ppl (and i'm really being light for this assumption xD), by the time i'm done i've probably been reported too because obviously i wasn't playing while gathering evidences, and we're almost at tbc or even already at tbc while they are starting to be punished, which is useless because TBC meta won't be HKs farm anymore.

How hard would it be for a GM to write a warning macro and DM afk players in AV threatening to punish them hard if they don't start playing? Let's say 5 min top to write it, 10 min hovering an AV DMing players, maybe 1 or 2 bans to set an exemple let's say rince and repeat 2 times a day for 2 days, you used less than an hour fixing a months old problem.

How many tickets does a GM close in an hour? Because that could potentially avoid opening 30 to 50 tickets at least. I'd say time well spent.

And 0 minutes for players to completely ignore those messages and keep doing the same thing they've been doing for 20 years.

Having GMs focus on stuff like players afk'ng in AV thinking that banning a player will "send a message" is insanely pointless. No player AFK'ing is going to see that and be like "Oh wow! Better get my act together and go to the bridge. Sorry about that, everyone! I'm a better person now!".

Let GMs focus on stuff that matters. Not this.

  3. Let GMs focus on stuff that matters. Not this.
If you tolerate certain behaviors, they become more common. As I type this, there's 40 people staring at each other. 80 players and not 1 of them is in combat with anything. This is not working as intended.

Why don't you think this matters? It's literally destroying PvP. I don't think it's a burden to post a 12 second clip and a screenshot of the scoreboard.

  4. I think you forgot to read the part where i said "maybe 1 or 2 bans to set an exemple".
I'm pretty sure getting a DM from a GM threatening to ban you isn't gonna be ignored by that many players like you say, but i might have underestimated the lack of intelligence of AFKs, if so, then punish.
My suggestion was a peacefull one, at least in a first time, but I'd also be totally fine with a GM nuking all the AFKS either by kicking them out of AV or just ban them, whatever works.
I just find it hard to understand why a player would be so much against it unless you're part of the problem. But in an attempt to understand your point of view, what could possibly matters more? Keep in mind we're talking about GM, not devs, unless warmane is so short on staff they're the same persons.

  5. It's just a player created problem. Nobody is forcing people to camp the bridge. You go in there and players are yelling at you to retreat and advance to get the most HK possible. Then players get lazy and afk causing the farm to slow down and irritate those actively farming. And it's so funny these "honest" players come complain about it as if they're not there actively trying NOT to win the game too to maximize their kills. How many "Get back to the tree" have we heard?

If you can provide evidence of excessive AFK then ya they get banned and many have. But aside from that it's just Vanilla PvP. Some games lasted for days on retail because breaking past 40 players at some choke points with the limited abilities of classes and heavy NPC defenses is not easy. And it's an absolute joke to try winning a game with this bridge farm meta nonsense when over 90% of the players don't care because they only want to farm and the games won't end until everybody starts leaving because it's late or too many afk players making the farm not worth it.

  6. You report people with videos/screenshots something else got evidence that those people are just afking every av there's atleast 15afks in horde send reports to gms and u know what gms tell you? "we gonna investigate this, best regards" few days go by and u know what you see in av? same people that was reported, gms doesn't give absolutely a **** just give them money so they get paid by doing nothing

just now did av for horde side 20afks on ****ing one side, its just funny how horde side is full of bots

    Totally agree with you guys.
    It's a shame.
Give us nax stuff afk and you'll see how pve ppl come there to storm the forum.
The pvp experience was the worst of my life because gm let this kind of behavior be.

  8. I think i have solution. AFK is getting out of hand in other bgs. People are joining literally with grey gear to afk in arathi or WSG to get gold.. You need to encourage people to actually report others. Just make a debuff after u gett kicked/reported multiple times that does not allow you to join any random instance RDF/RBG for 24 hours (PLAYED time) or even more... Something like on hardcore when you tried to flee duel, ur character got debuffed for 72 hours of played time
