Change xp rates to x1 and you have enough time to make gold for first mount till you hit lvl 40
you think you do but you don't - is no more mem. PPL don't want play any more, they want fast lvl, fast gold, and loot loot loot, in one day and drop, fore new season/patch/start call it anyway
So? The auction house is driven by players. Supply and demand. If no one wants to pay what you want to charge that's completely a you problem and you have to come up with alternatives, nothing to do with the economy needing to be "fixed."
But, at the same time you should also point out that Warmane did indeed change or utilize a lot of differences to retail w.r.t. to gold drop amounts or item drop amounts on mobs, solely with the purpose to condemn botting - which also affects new joiners because the overall gold levels are lower.

As far as I'm aware what was changed were certain "solo farms" that were being abused - and not by bots. People managed to get plenty of gold for their needs and savings just fine without those - which were also pretty class-specific if I remember correctly. New players are able to play the game and get gold, just not nearly as much as if we weren't about to have an expansion transition that is going to make stuff obsolete, but that's just normal. No one joining this late for Vanilla and early for Burning Crusade should expect to become a fully best-in-slot magnate before the new expansion.
yet, 80% of mobs inside dungeons drop gold amounts that are about 20% of what is blizzlike.
and this is the case not only for classic dungeons but is also the case for TBC dungeons currently on the PTR.
the "average" player could make a decent amount of money just from running 5 player dungeons with regular groups. Even in lower levels, the relative amount is a lot smaller than retail used to be - making access to mount and riding skill at 40 more difficult.
The prices on the server are really **** (ofc at end of expansion) but with tbc mount costs getting reduces. And you are still possible to make at least 20g/h with lvl 40 so it is definitly possible to get the mount while lving. I can remember in classic the majority of players had no mount with lvl 40.
Wasn't it the community who cried on the forums about Black Lotus prices being so high, thus made Black Lotus spawn randomly in other herbs which crashed the prices. I am sorry you have no concept of saving gold. I sold 120 Black Lotus back in BWL for 50G before the crash and I am set for TBC to have an epic flying mount as soon as I hit 70. I will make sure to wave as I pass by you on your 60% riding mount.
The complain wasn't quite about the price, but about how certain players had essentially created a network of alternate accounts to log in right when and where they were going to spawn, so they had a monopoly and could control the price.
I've been on this server for 2 weeks. Got epic mount, epic equipment, max proffs. You just sound lazy and used to everything being handed to you like retail.
