It's not only about BGs but also about arena. Currently Onyxia has only three 2s teams with +2k rating while Blackrock has 33 teams.
That should give you an idea how dead the arena brackets would be when Onyxia is isolated.

Thanks for trying, kirk. I personally won't bother anymore after replying to "the problem is on the PvE side" and explaining why those queue times are long got me "that's a dead argument, stop strawman" bull****. If people can't understand the simple concept that if there were in fact enough players queuing, only the occasional odd Battleground would get Blackrock filling gaps, that's not a problem for me to deal with. There has been no discussion on removing Blackrock anyway, and that's about it.
That makes sense, but people will just say that's because "the unfairness made people not play Arena."

Blackrock is not filling any gaps, it's creating one.
Alot of people playing Onyxia, as I do, wants to have a feel of what OG BC/Wotlk was.
From my experience : I suddently got a "bigger GS", so I got into lobbies with people fully geared / enchanted / gemmed ? I bet many players got disgusted by PvP after reaching some gear, because they now have to play against players spamming BC for many years with full enchants ect.. It's just makes PvP really unfair & not fun at all.
Also, queues weren't long at all before I got the GS to get into Blackrock lobbies. Blackrock is really killing PvP on Oyxia, not the opposite

right? they do nothing for us. and even if we did need them numerically, they ruin the experience is everyway.
its a different player base, and different culture. let them stay quarantined where they belong. not ruining pvp for us.
its almost as if there is someone working for warmane that wants to ruin it for us.

They don't ruin PvP for me. I don't notice the difference. We're in Season 4. Competitors are in full S3 with T6 raid pieces minimum, but at this point we're about half S4 and several Sunwell items. Blackrock as far as I know has the disadvantage to obtain end game gear.
If you're just starting Onyxia and wanting to compete in PvP then you're too late. Very unlikely you get into Sunwell content. Go make a Blackrock toon, but understand that you will be farming way way more than the requirement for a simple S2 set.
If you're upset that Blackrock has a starter set then just understand that gear obtained by honor at this point will not get you very far. It's the absolute bare minimum. That will get you to the bottom of score boards and nowhere near ranking very high in arena.
I think the complaint is really just new players using Blackrock as a scapegoat because they don't understand how Blackrock even works and they don't recognize they joined the game way too late and are literally outclassed in every way by all players who have been here for all of TBC.

dewey, you said "1500gs" twice in a TBC thread. Gear score isn't used in TBC. You compared battleground queue with RDF which makes no sense. Then you gave incorrect information about player's interactions with RDF. I don't think you even know what a strawman argument is. A fallacy doesn't necessarily make a claim false anyway, but you highlighting it like it does would be an argument from fallacy.
I'd be careful. You're teetering on staff/server disrespect. You can read what that means in the forum rules. End of the day you can have an opinion, but it's not your server. They're not out to ruin the game for us like you claim. There's a good reason for it and they see it and have experience with it. Nobody said Blackrock was perfect, but it is absolutely there for a reason.

the problem with this is the amount of AFK blackrock players, they just dont give a f*** ... they are ruining the pvp experience for everyone
just split battlegrounds and keep arena fused... win win for everyone

I know im replying to an old thread, but ofcourse it is completely rediculous to pool people from blackrock against onyxia. You have no chance, you need to invest hours and hours into a character to come even close to a character that you can create in 5 minutes on blackrock. This completely destroys any motivation for anyone to play PVP from the Onyxia realm. Hell you can even re-create your character on blackrock and have better gear in 5 minutes than in weeks of grinding Onyxia. They should take the Woltk upgrade as a chance to revert this blunder and let people that actually work for their character compete against each other. Playing from Onyxia against Blackrock is like playing CS against a team of aimbotters.

Because of the Battleground unfairness that is Blackrock vs Onyxia, the only PvP Onyxia has, well... will actually be a Godsend. World PvP for the Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord is going to be AV on Steroids, no one maxed out for level, or gear, it's actually going to be fun for a little while when it comes to Onyxia World PvP. Then the Evolution into Sholazar Basin, Icecrown, Etc. It will be one of two extremes, either you love it, or you hate it.
For BG's, Onyxia will be done due to Blackrock and how much more powerful (and Easier) the gear is going to be. No fun to be had unless you like being at a severe disadvantage.
